Antacid is a must! I've had some aewome burgers and stuff at a local eatery, then an hour later ended up with heartburn when riding. NOT FUN!

Love you guys! I'm a big fan of cycling "goo" packets as well. Just a quickly absorbed dose of calories (sugar) for when a rider hits the wall and "bonks" (Hello Adam 😉). I like Hammer nutrition's version, but they are all similar. Hammer does have a chocolate hazelnut flavor...just sayin'
And Jess' food is one of the high points of every rally! Best pork chops evah!

Ty, on the antacids, the whole reason you get heartburn is because your stomach acid isn't strong enough to trigger your esophageal sphincter to close, letting your stomach acid up into your esophagus. Hydrochloric acid supplements are the answer there to build your stomach acid. On the liquid iv, dextrose is bad for you. Check out lyte balance and/or cardio miracle. The lyte balance is condensed electrolytes you can ad to your water bladder without hurting it (or just take a capful shot for quick recovery), and the cardio miracle is a nitric oxide and immune booster, as well as electrolytes. Beware the sticker shock on it. It seems expensive in the tub, but when you part it out, a scoop is $1.50. Love ya buddy. Can't wait to get down to see yinz again.

Tens units have been around for at least 40 years but they have gotten so small and portable. They used to be as big as a toaster and had to be plugged in.

I am just checking in after watching your "Why we ride the dual sport" video as I do from time time since it is so good. Just drove (normally ride) from Blanding to Hanksville then Torrey to Bryce with the wife because I wanted to show her that amazing scenery. I'm too lazy to use most of that stuff in this video, except nail clippers are a must. I'd add in dental floss as well. Nothing worse than being in the middle of nowhere with something stuck between your teeth. Hey, I just had an idea: Maybe you can get SW Motech to make a mega-Lubriderm bracket that works with a RAM mount? Glad to see you are still at it and having a good time!

I started carrying saline nasal spray for low humidity to avoid crispy boogers. Eyedrops for dry eyes. Aloe cooling gel is the best at the end of a day in the sun. Pepto comes in tablets and I take a string of floss for the rare chance of steak in my crooked teeth. I like to be prepared, if only for peace of mind. Yes, it's girly.
