They nerf accel for what good reason and honestly I hope it's just for balancing the game not for making he useful towers useless in the future I hope they don't do that (well kinda since they nerf the commander)I really hope they buff accel again it's just not the same anymore since it's getting outclassed by mini engi having the huge damage nerf was kind of ok but I really hope they adjust the firerate instead since it fires so slow in the low levels, just to make up for the damage nerf and cost ratio
Being honest, engineer needs to get its price (on gems) lowered to 3.500 gems. For the time you take to get engineer playing hardcore OR just it can get more placement limit (8) as like accel.

If you think about it, engi is probably better for solo. Because commander is not a requirement for engi like for accel, you don't need to bring it which can let you bring another dps tower.
Engi never needed the buff, She was much easier to use than accelerator, and it still takes 2 stomps to kill her sentries which if you're fighting every other boss except nuclear monster, Is overpowered, Engineer never needed the buff. Now it just makes accelerator useless
Engineer is now used in updated Lucille v1, which kinds of put a smile on my face (although Lucille itself isn't that great anymore due to commander nerf making the strat much more expensive and inconsistent now)

Accelerator suffers from stuns, even more so from most towers like Minigunner because of the chargeup mechanic, meaning stuns, even with medic, can cost a lot of DPS, while Engineer counteracts this by having shields on her sentries past level 5 (iirc) and having Sentry health meaning it can still deal with back-to-back stuns, meaning Engineer still retains a lot of DPS after stuns. Engineer is also a LOT more usable, as it can be used for EG defense with cheap placement costs and early upgrades, not to mention having all 3 detections, being hidden, lead, and flying. It's only on the tower itself (except for hd as sentries get it on 5+), but it does enough DPS that it doesn't really matter that much as lead and flying enemies are few and far between. Engineer also has splash damage, which is only on max, but still splash damage nonetheless, which accel is completely lacking. Accelerator is very expensive on a lot of its upgrades and on placement, strictly making it only usable for lategame and most midgame DPS. Overcharge also makes buffs (from what i've heard) about 33% less effective as it'll make Accelerator overcharge faster. Sure, engi suffers from the same thing, only having 82 of it's massive 402 single tower unbuffed DPS buffed, but this can actually be considered an advantage. Let's do some math real quick. 8 max accelerators have an unbuffed combined dps of 2,272, while 6 max engineers have an unbuffed combined DPS of 2,412, even after the recent nerf which (i think) had not happened yet at the time of your comment, which is higher than accel's unbuffed potential DPS. This means that Engineer relies less on buff towers than accel to have good performance, which is an advantage as you don't need to spend as much to have peak performance, not to mention engi having higher single tower DPS. Speaking of spending, let's talk about Cost Efficiency, which is probably the most important stat when it comes to deciding how good a tower is. Incase you don't know what CE (short for cost efficiency) is, it's just a ratio between a tower's DPS and cost. Engineer costs 53.7k to max a single tower, whilst Accelerator costs 54.9k to max a single one, and this is already in engi's favor because 53.7k is 1.2k cheaper than 54.9k. A method to decide a tower's CE is the one Corso uses in all of his statistics videos, being DPS per $1k Simple math, just divide a tower's total cost by 1k, then a tower's DPS by that number, and you have it. Let's do this for accel first. (computing for single tower unbuffed CE, we wont use decimals for the most part btw) 54,900 / 1k is 54.9 then divide accel's 284 dps by 54.9 and you get 5.1 Now for engineer, divide 53.7k by 1,000 and you get 53.7 and divide Engineer's 402 dps by 53.7 and the result is 7.4 which is 36.8% better than accel's CE of 5.1 Now, let's do compute CE for buffed potential DPS With the values you provided, Engineer, with a potential DPS of 2832 divided by the cost of all the engineers and buffs, being 1 max commander (24,150) and 1 max mercenary base (73,900), the buffs cost 98,050 Adding that to the cost of 6 max engis, being 322200 we get 420250 Then, divide 420250 by 1k, which is 420.25 and divide 2832 by 420.25 6 fully buffed engineers have a CE of 6.7 A difference of 0.7, so let's see how big that difference is for Accelerator. One thing TDS does better then TDX is stealth, in TDX there is so much stealth and even the boss can go stealth, so all your towers need to see stealth or you need to buy towers and micro them to reveal stealth.
I think whenever engineer is busy, it can rebuild sentry in 1 second if the scrap meter is full it means if engineer is busy so always place engineer front side and accel backside 😂
The fact that this cost so much gems is actually worth the buff the only thing that i hate about engi that its sentries cant get buff which sucks tbh i have an idea about angi having an ability that boost sentries or rebuild sentries without scraps that would be amazing im not saying that it needs another buff im just saying what is in my mind
mind you: engi has lead from level 0, and hidden + flying from lvl 2, so not only is it good for the main modes, its also good for the special modes bcuz of high dmg + early hidden (espically hardcore bcuz of flying and lead)
well the sentries dying really aren’t much of an issue now that engie has a faster firerate, also if it’s really that big of an issue then you could bring medic since the shields’ uptime depends on whether or not the engie is stunned. All you need to do is to heal engie and the shields will immediately return and plus, most of the time there won’t be mutliple enemies at once stunning and the sentries still have some health to tank a bit of stun damage.
Hidden detection applies to lvl 5 and 6 sentries with the new buff and lead detection to the sentries with their rockets on max lvl but not with their bullets
ngl this is good for soloing fallen now. If your doing crossroads or other maps with accel, pyro and supports the fallen boss will be left about like 30 k. But with engi it’s kills it now. Ngl pretty good buff.
GUYSSS when you go to the game and go to the end of the update log you will see numbers for next update . hacker tower confirm? in the disscord for the update road it said brawler tower and new tower??? soo the new tower is hacker its probbaly a coins one cause brawler was supposly coins but now gem and hacker was gem tower
Conclusion: accel is still better for overall max dps and if youre playing with more people but the difference isnt too significant and engineer is practically stun immune if the bosses dont stomp spam, overwll i think engi is better for solo
@el-zv2hl he literally stated in the video that with buffs accel still outperforms engineer. Also you can also add damage and cool down flags, which makes accel outperform engineer's dps by a LOT
@el-zv2hl he probably used the old dps formula where the burst time isn't affected by "overcharge", and he probably got dps around 3.4k of total for 8 accels. Since now it's calculated differently the dps is less than engineer's, however it's 2950, not 2934 With mercenary base accel's dps is 3272 while engineer's is 3160 With damage and cooldown flags accel's dps is 4013 and engineer's dps is 3664 which isn't not significant however in survival both will be enough for fallen king, if youre trying to speedrun or you're playing special modes I'd say accel is better but honestly both are enough and engineer isn't as risky so I'd say that it's still better

Honestly this just removes a need for the commander bc it doesn’t make the tower much better, and on top of that, the commander recently got a nerf to pretty much everything but the new ability so it’s not nearly as useful to help towers.

Technically, war machine sentries have lead detection cause they have rockets. Now they are just missing flying detection

One thing TDS does better then TDX is stealth, in TDX there is so much stealth and even the boss can go stealth, so all your towers need to see stealth or you need to buy towers and micro them to reveal stealth.
Finally, the tower that costs 4,500 gems is better than the tower that costs 2,500 gems

I think whenever engineer is busy, it can rebuild sentry in 1 second if the scrap meter is full it means if engineer is busy so always place engineer front side and accel backside 😂

The fact that this cost so much gems is actually worth the buff the only thing that i hate about engi that its sentries cant get buff which sucks tbh i have an idea about angi having an ability that boost sentries or rebuild sentries without scraps that would be amazing im not saying that it needs another buff im just saying what is in my mind
mind you: engi has lead from level 0, and hidden + flying from lvl 2, so not only is it good for the main modes, its also good for the special modes bcuz of high dmg + early hidden (espically hardcore bcuz of flying and lead)

So an example of what might destroy the sentries easily is the void reaver, its stomp hits 4 times rapidly
well the sentries dying really aren’t much of an issue now that engie has a faster firerate, also if it’s really that big of an issue then you could bring medic since the shields’ uptime depends on whether or not the engie is stunned. All you need to do is to heal engie and the shields will immediately return and plus, most of the time there won’t be mutliple enemies at once stunning and the sentries still have some health to tank a bit of stun damage.
I would say that since accel got nerfed and engineer buff is good they are both at siting as the best dps towers of TDS
Fun fact: with this buff, Engineer can now solo Easy mode with 1 placement, making it an effortless grind.

Hidden detection applies to lvl 5 and 6 sentries with the new buff and lead detection to the sentries with their rockets on max lvl but not with their bullets
ngl this is good for soloing fallen now. If your doing crossroads or other maps with accel, pyro and supports the fallen boss will be left about like 30 k. But with engi it’s kills it now. Ngl pretty good buff.

Accelerator’s biggest flaw is continuously attacking a strong enemy and letting other faster enemies slip through

Conclusion: accel is still better for overall max dps and if youre playing with more people but the difference isnt too significant and engineer is practically stun immune if the bosses dont stomp spam, overwll i think engi is better for solo

@el-zv2hl he literally stated in the video that with buffs accel still outperforms engineer. Also you can also add damage and cool down flags, which makes accel outperform engineer's dps by a LOT
@@nvs0p he is wrong, 6 engineer with commander have 2996 dps while 8 accel with commander have 2934 dps
@el-zv2hl he probably used the old dps formula where the burst time isn't affected by "overcharge", and he probably got dps around 3.4k of total for 8 accels. Since now it's calculated differently the dps is less than engineer's, however it's 2950, not 2934
With mercenary base accel's dps is 3272 while engineer's is 3160
With damage and cooldown flags accel's dps is 4013 and engineer's dps is 3664 which isn't not significant however in survival both will be enough for fallen king, if youre trying to speedrun or you're playing special modes I'd say accel is better but honestly both are enough and engineer isn't as risky so I'd say that it's still better

They need to give accelerator some type of niche, considering now it isn't as useful in solos or quads.
Honestly this just removes a need for the commander bc it doesn’t make the tower much better, and on top of that, the commander recently got a nerf to pretty much everything but the new ability so it’s not nearly as useful to help towers.
Engineer is good as it is they just need to lower the price to 3000 or 3250
Yeah kinda waste too much for 3k instead 4k but just make it 3,500

So in other words the only two things that can boost everything is commander and the mercenary base? What does this even mean they’re the only thing that can buff troops other than DJ buffing range? Why not just say dj can’t buff range then, unless you meant to say including instead of excluding because then you would’ve said that even those 2 towers still don’t buff sentries? I’m so confused

the tower wich you have to grind for the most is finally good? they shouldve done this earlier, for 4.5k gems it finally lives up to that price
as a person who uses both accel and engineer, this is a win win

why did this get buffed? didn't engi already have a higher DPS than accel? they just made a good tower even better, I mean it makes some sense since engineer is so expensive at 4.5k gems, but I still don't see why they buffed this

Hi Corso. I wanted to tell you that the sentries have hidden detection too now. So yeah engi is very op now.
The devs finally realised that if they buff Engi, people will use it, and they dont have to nerf everything else to make engi meta
bro it's so much more expensive than accel (in gems), they should either give it 5 sentries at max or make the sentries be buff eligible.
