I met Rons brother Mark here in Denver where i live 12 years ago and have been friends with him since. Very cool and humbled dude that i regularly see and talk to.
Ron Lyle was one of the best heavyweights of the 1970s not to win the belt. He and Foreman had what some call the greatest heavyweight slugfest of all time

Victor is full of sh*t and he threw a lot of fights for the 💰.... When he fought Jositio Lopez Victor played like he broke his jaw bc Coward Canelo was to scared to fight Oritz. Lopez was easier. Ortiz had talent but didn't have Hart
I personally experienced Victor being generous with his time. I used to train at a gym in Oxnard, Ca and one day I brought my boys in, and they were maybe 8 and 6. Victor was hitting the BIG heavy bag, and stopped to great me and my kids, and spent some time joking around with them. I will never forget that
I used to love watching Vicious Victor Ortiz fight. I remember back in the summer of 2009; he headlined a fight with Marcos Maidana, it was on HBO Boxing after Dark, and it was probably one of the best 140 fight of that year. Both men dropped each other multiple times. Maidana would eventually win by TKO. Ortiz went on to fight other great fights, the year he fought Mayweather, which was in 2011, earlier that year he fought Andre Berto. To me that was probably the best fight Ortiz had fought. He ended up TKO Berto. Which lead him to a huge payday against Floyd Joy Mayweather Jr. The fight was okay, but I felt that Ortiz took a dive because he did not fight the way he fought against Maidana or Berto. Victor Ortiz had a good career. It could have been better but as he got older, he lost fights he should have won. He always had a great attitude and hit very hard. Great guy and fighter. All the best Vicious Victor Ortiz.
I heard him telling his life journey years ago, and got impressed by it. Still✨... I remember “ the knockdown”..... Always a pleasure to hear about him.
Hey Vlad and Victor if your reading this i live in Denver and im friends with Ron's brother Mark and i showed him this clip. He just wanted to say thanks and God Bless.
I love Ron Lyle but Ali whooped his ass, threw something like 20 unanswered punches so the ref had to stop the fight.. Ron went to prison for killing a man, came out in his late 20s and went on to share the ring with Ali, Shavers and George Foreman. Great fighter.
He is a great actor. The way he changes his voice and accent is impressive. He needs to do movies. I heard Liam Neesom and Tony Danza were boxers turned actor.
ESPN Classics? I haven't watched that channel since ESPN became a premium channel on the sports package. They probably did that after people started bootlegging everything on RUclips
