    --------
    Victor Ortiz shared his inspiring journey of determination and resilience. At a young age, Ortiz captured the attention of renowned trainer Robert Garcia at the Jr. Olympics, where Garcia was impressed by Ortiz’s talent. Despite his hardships, including working two jobs and caring for his sister’s child, Ortiz's dream was unwavering-to become a world champion. Garcia offered to train Ortiz in California, promising to help him financially if he moved. With his sister's emotional support, Ortiz emancipated himself, securing guardianship under Garcia. With minimal belongings and a heart full of determination, Ortiz boarded a plane to California, driven by his aspirations. Landing in Oxnard, Ortiz embraced a new chapter, training under Garcia’s mentorship. By 16, Ortiz had won eight titles, exemplifying his tenacity and Garcia’s impactful mentorship in transforming his life.

      @@GamingCentralTV1 victor wasnt winning, but he sure as hell started to really bother floyd. during the forward combination he threw, he snapped floyd's head back and it forced floyd against the ropes. thats when victor started throwing combos to floyds guard and some of them started getting through. victor has always been dirty though so he threw a headbutt in for good measure. floyd wasnt so much pissed from the headbutt, but he didnt like that victors offense of straight punches started getting through floyds guard so he took the opportunity for the "cheap shot" and used the headbutt as an excuse to do it. both floyd and victor are dirty af.

Only trainer he didn't trash talk was Freddy and they didn't win or have any big fights.

      Him and the Garcia's sure have history and Robert wouldn't speak negative of him but behind close doors who knows all I know is that Brandon Rios did and he also said that Ortiz lied about his childhood since Brandon and Ortiz grew up in the same town and I do remember Robert having personal problems with his older brother Danny for taking Ortiz in when Ortiz turned his back on them and Robert almost got into a physical altercation with his older brother when they were neighbors and the cops had to be called but all I know is that now it seems like they sort of put their differences behind them I remember seen Danny in Roberts family parties a few years ago and I also remember seeing him show support to Mikey backstage after his last few fights as for Victor their was a video shown by Elie sechback a few years ago as well with Victor shaking hands with Robert and congratulating Robert on Mikeys win but yeah they sure have some history

    @rabioramos1796 Месяц назад +7

    Yes it’s true that Robert took Ortiz in after seeing him at the olympic try outs. He talked to him,
    According to Robert ,Victor told him a bs solo story as he always does. Robert invited victor over to Oxnard. Victor accepted, and he lived at Robert's house for a while with Brandon Rios. They trained together for a while. Victor was always one to complain, about getting hit, who he spars, not wanting to do the training etc...
    but victor still kept his cocky side alive, he felt he was better than everyone in the gym. In the end, a conflict arose when Victor decided he was the star and everyone in the gym was just wasting his time. Victor wanted Robert to train him exclusively (Victor was a pro at this point) Robert declined and Victor got butthurt.
    The animosity from Robert and Brandon comes from what Victor did next. He got one of his friends to disguise his voice and threaten Robert and Brandon's family. Robert and Brandon recognized the guy's voice and they beat him up. Days later, some other guys claiming victor sent them, showed up to Brandon's home and threatened his wife at gunpoint.
    Brandon went to check things out and he confronted the gunmen. Brandon's wife (I think her name is vicky, I might be wrong) ran from the scene and she suffered and injury. The guys wimped out after Brandon confronted them.
    That's really all I know. There's a lot of talk about Victor's sob story being fake etc... as well. I wouldn't doubt it, since the dates don't match up. How can anyone work at Burgerking at 13???

    Didnt he leave Robert after he got his big fight and went with his brother….they obviously don’t fuck with him at Robert garcias gym
    All that good stuff you told about Robert but then leave him hanging
    Good way to tell stories that fit his narrative
    So disrespectful to say people get complacent when Robert has 16 world champs is one of the best now and will go down all time
    Still helps kids like Ortiz doesn’t charge these kids rent or anything but complacent ok

    Claustrophobia. That’s what a friend told me he felt when he visited Tennessee or somewhere back east. not from houses but from the infinite Forrest. Being from phoenix 🌵 which is a vast open wasteland of desert, you can see for dozens of miles in any direction.
