This is awesome. Before seeing this, I had done almost the same thing with my ezgo txt. Except, I attached the front of the swing arm to the cross bar via a slip joint. That way my swing arm can flex left or right, and slide forward or rearward with rear axle travel.
Yes it all worked out just fine. The clutch burnt out due to the owner pulling a heavy trailer. I changed the set up to a torque converter and it worked out perfect. The frame held up just fine.
@@builditmyway6475 I have an 89 ez go ot was a gas job but the engine was shot. I have a predator 13hp electric start to go in. I was thinking of buying a 40 series drive clutch and seeing if it will work with my factory driven clutch
Kevin Keith i use a round shaft sprocket. I use the splines to make a key way for the sprocket. But there are several places to get sprockets. Tractor supplie, rural king, go power sports, amazon, and ebay. All i do is measure the shaft and order according to that.
You just gave me an idear🎉

Awesome I was thinking about that, good to know it’s possible. So I assume a smaller key is better? Thanks for the quick reply
Yes i use a normal key. Not sure the size but its the same as the lawn mower axle key. I have had good results with this method.
Awesome thanks
