i've had my 40" sony for over 12 years now, and honestly i'd rather have this exact same tv new again than any of these newer tvs. it has the perfect color and brightness, looks very realistic. when i look at a lot of these newer tvs, they are too bright and colorful, almost making people look like cartoon characters. but my screen is starting to go, has a line through it that's gradually getting thicker, and my brother just bought me this tv, so i guess it'll be my new tv soon. glad to see in the comments it's getting a lot of positive feedback, i always expect these cheaper tvs to very poor picture quality compared to sony or samsung, but it looks like it might not be bad.
Just got mine for $220 something and I LOVE IT. The picture quality looks really good, sound is great, and for the price I got it for from Target I can't complain.
Just a heads up. My exact tv was shot in 13 months. Warranty, sent me a refurbished one. Lasted 12 months. I loved it but LED backlighting, should make it longer than one year. New tv, again!!! 4K Vizio this time 40", bought at Target this time. So far so good.

I loved mine for 12 months exactly. Backlight out!! TCL replaced, under warranty. Different TV they sent me, lasted 13 months. Backlighting out. Nice set. But consent last long. Really disappointed. Won't replace again. So I told TCL, will never buy there 3 series junk again.

I'm awaiting delivery of mine. I like the info you covered re: settings. wish I understood more about HDMI inputs and choosing wifi vs. ethernet. Is ethernet quality/speed better than wifi? I have only internet service from Xfinity, no cable tv. However, my cable jack has a splitter attached, so the question is: can I run both my PC and my TCL on ethernet at the same time? I haven't had too much trouble with this TV. It can lag if you aren't patient and don't let things load, but other than that no crashes, works great for me!
@@Bootstrappin Unfortunately no, here in Venezuela there are not stores that sell good TVs, the only brand that has its own store is Samsung, but a model series 4 of 2016, sell it on $400, much more expensive than another country, the same applies to anything else, a PS4 slim for example it costs $600. The 32S325 model is 30 bucks cheaper, and the shipment in cheaper too.
Does this TV have a built in casting function? I don't have cable. With my current tv that I want to replace, I just cast stuff from my phone (youtube mostly) and use my ps4 console for my streaming services. Also, since I might not use the smart tv functions, can I use the tv without setting up a Roku account? Cheers!
Just ordered this with the 3 year warr. Can you change the red back ground? edit i ended up going to bestbuy & paid $249 which included 5 year warr. so far i love it just not a fan of the blinking light when you use the remote.

@@pspvita99 what you would do is hook up the antenna to the coax in, have the TV scan through available channels, and then you can flip through the channels using the remote like normal

Just don't want to have to change the input with a button on the tv or flip through channels from the tv, I was just making sure the remote was normal and not just a roku remote. GENERAL QUESTION. I own a TCL 4k smart TV I do NOT want a traditional DVD player. I bought a portable LG Super Milti-Blade dvd player which was supposed to be compatible with any smart TV by just plugging into the USB port and going through some minor settings in the TV. Somewhat glossy, but glare in the sun isn't too bad. Fast moving movie content looks fine, didn't notice any ghosting - but I haven't tried gaming with it either.
I believe that was the smaller 32" I was watching the Walmart website for these. All of them, the 40", 50"...all sold out in less than 1 minute. I finally found it on the Best Buy website for 159.
I bought this TV thinking it supports 4k but apparently I got ripped off when clearly there's a sticker on both sides and ends saying TCL 40" 4k Roku TV mines the 3 series. It's a beautiful TV but I wanted it to support 4k
From what I've read it's decent and it'll work fine with Xbox, little to no complaints unless you expect perfection. It has 3 HDMI inputs, lag isn't too bad. Picture quality is OK -- it's not a super duper 4K OLED or anything like that, but probably the one of the best for just under $180.
my 12 year old sony had this feature called motion flow or something, and when i turned it on while playing resident evil, the zombies were literally dodging my gunshots by teleporting. and tv shows or movies just looked like they were in fast forward. i turned off that setting and it played perfectly again. funny thing is that setting was a big selling point and mentioned the smoothest gaming possible, but the couple games i tried were completely unplayable, i never used that setting after that first day.

It's definitely useful for me it's either between this TLC or a 4k ultra TLC 43 inches.
Very good TV for the price. The only downside is that it doesn't have ultra HD.

I run this off Wi-Fi no problems. I've tran a different TV off a splitter also with no problems. 1080p isn't that much bandwidth.

No, it's "CMI" 120 Hz so 60 Hz but with interpolation to make it "look like" 120 Hz.

Theres a setting on the TV when your in whatever console ur using that says "game mode" which means less lag, but slightly less resolution
