Amazing how Joel basically sets off and is completely open his career. Just honest, no juicy and saucy side stories. Very humble and likeable person. Kylie didn’t have to ask a lot of questions.

Radar love, their version is great ❕
And yes, when I was younger I knew about using your ' aux ' on your stereo, I've done it.

Your teacher is still on you about scales and stuff this far in? (I realize that you might have made this weeks or months ago, but still...) You need to learn to play the chords through a whole song. Learning a whole song is going to advance your learning in a huge way and you don't need to know any theory behind it. Take a song like "I Love Rock and Roll" or "Have a Drink on Me" (or pretty much any Joan Jett & AC/DC songs) that will have you doing cowboy chords, barre chords, 5ths, and riffs that you can work up to. And all that stuff will click in when your go to learn the next song and the next...
Too many teachers get stuck on the fundamentals and act like their samurai senseis or art instructors of old where it was, "We're going to work on this one thing for weeks." Others seem to think every student should, or wants to, shoot for being a lead player, and learning modes and stuff they'll never use or will sink in later as they learn. There's a crap-ton of players who just want to play rhythm and can play some riffs and licks and are pretty damn happy with it.
This being stuck on fundamentals is taking all the fun out of guitar for you. You need to get your teacher on board with it or get a new teacher.
