Dope video Game. When you were auditioning the C# Maj11, the reason it sounded it off was because of the minor 9th interval created by the F and the F# an octave above. If you listen to the great old school jazz piano players and arrangers, they never use the 4th or 11th of any type of major chord for that reason, especially on longer and slower note rhythms. If they do voice the 4th or 11th, they always use a b7 with the chord as well to make it a dom7sus11 (which can always function as a V7 chord if necessary).
