Cycling with DFDS from Dover to Dunkirk

- In this video I show the cycle route to board a ferry at the port of Dover, UK. On this trip I was with DFDS sailing to Dunkirk on the Dunkerque Seaways.

Ahh, the excitement of coming off the ferry with the whole of Europe ahead of you to explore!
It's a great feeling at the start, at least for me, of an adventure.
Unimpressed by how the poor quality French cycle lane leaving the harbour just gives up when the road gets really busy!

Hey! Thanks for the comment. I only did a short journey in France between Dunkirk and the Belgian border but the bike lanes, both painted on-road and separate paths in that area were good. Only part without any really was initially leaving the port.
@@pinderclips5642 HEy sorry for the late replay, amazing to know that. I want to cycle all the way to France, doing a lot of planning about it. couple of questions: When you get to France is it easy way to get out of the port ?
Just need to follow the signs for exit, I followed the D940 and then some bike lanes on the D601 into Dunkirk. It's only a short distance to get on to some quieter roads once leaving the port
