    the delays are not because of brexit it,s the french customs .i had to wait for a half an hour because of a shift change

      Thank you for the clarification. However, we only discovered the actual reason for the delays after the video was posted.

      "Delays at customs" are a DIRECT RESULT OF BREXIT.

      @@coxhoe789 Thanks for reaching out. I had another trip last month and it went pretty well, except for a 30-minute ferry delay. I’m actually in the process of editing the video from that trip now.

    Am I the only that noticed how many UK cars were travelling without or showing the correct UK stickers? Since we left the EU it's now changed from GB to UK hasn't it? Only asking as I will be traveling to europe (germany) for the first time ever on the 20th via Dover to Calais by car, and I have kinda been obsessing over every little detail of what I will need legally in regards to european road traffic laws and to ensure I am legal for all aspects of my journey, including the ferry boarding process. Thanks for an informative video, kind regards.

      Yes, a traditional GB sticker is no longer acceptable. By having a UK sticker for your vehicle, you can avoid a £120 fine. You can purchase UK stickers, on the ferry.

    Hi there, how did you change your departure time ? Was this at the check in and they have offered you slot sooner ? I usually used the Eurotunnel and this is all new to me :-) thanks in advance!

    • @onmyway2891
      @onmyway2891  Месяц назад +1

      Hello
      Yes, it was at check-in with the attendant where we asked about switching to an earlier departure time. Any similar issues can be resolved at that point. On a previous occasion, I mistakenly booked the wrong date and had to pay a fee to correct it since I didn’t want to cancel the trip. But don’t worry, there’s no fee for just changing the time if you’re early or late.

    Hi can you be dropped off easily. Im a foot passenger and i am hoping to find a drop off point tk u

    • @onmyway2891
      @onmyway2891  6 месяцев назад

      As of my last knowledge update in January 2022, foot passengers are generally allowed at the Dover Ferry Port in the UK. Passengers can be dropped off and picked up at the port, and there are facilities for foot passengers to board ferries. However, specific procedures and regulations can change, and it’s always a good idea to check with the ferry company or the port authorities directly for the most up-to-date information regarding foot passenger services, drop-off points, and any potential changes in policies or procedures.
