I have had one of these for several years now and I love it. I have had no issues with it until recently. I heard 60 cycle hum coming through in the back ground which was really loud. Now I left it running 24 hours a day seven days a week for several years. So when I heard that hum I knew it had to be the power caps. I have built multiple guitar amps so I am comfortable with diagnosing and repairing electronics. There are 3, 10uf 400V power caps in the unit and one was about to explode and one other was completely shot. I replaced all three of them which was a quick and easy job and all is good again. I am no longer going to let it run 24/7 and I am now turning it off at the end of the day. Great little unit for a home studio.

You need to tighten the screws on that Ikea desk, it's going to fall apart any second.
More like he needs to buy a desk that's not from ikea

No clunky power adapter and the USB input sold me. My intention is to play music through my laptop through the USB (youtube karaoke videos), and a few mic's to yell into. That 100Hz cut sounds great to keep my subs quiet when someone slams the mic into their mouth, lol. Just learning about how to use it through youtube videos. Thanks

More likely that his mic is picking up extraneous noise.

I started watching the review but I was lost on the 2nd minute . You talk about different inputs but you are not showing which are they on the box? So I have no idea which input or button you are talking about
You didn't cover the flexibility of the 4 track record over USB... which left your review only really covering the obvious shallow features.
Am I the only one who would like Direct Output on at least ONE channel????
check the Soundraft M12 and maybe get a good amp just to run mics thru. Depends on really what steps you're willing to take and your budget.

I think I will get this mixer but I just do not get yet how this usb interface works.
I would like to use it as an audio interface for my daw...connect to it 4 analog synths via m1-m4 channels, send them via usb (separately) into my DAWs mixer and hear it (DAW mixer) on my monitors connected to the A&H mixer.
....any help please?!?

Thanks! It is so clear with your guide. I have one. Please help to see if we can connect 2 pairs of speakers throught the MAIN OUT and MONITORS OUT. If I have another BOSE S1 PRO speaker, can I connect to the mixer through the AUX out ? I have tried with the Behringer Europort 2000 BT, but it nt work.Please advise how to set up. Thanks for help
Many things are very vague to me.
I own a ZEDI10 FX and both the FX and the EQ's get completely ignored when you send them over USB.
Also didn't manage to get anything from the USB switches. they don't seem t do anything at all.
Also the AUX/monitor out is NOT stereo so to me completely useless.
Whats also strange about this thing is that the ZEDi10 what doesn't have build in FX, still have this yellow FX button, like for what exactly?!
Other than all this it''s a very affortable and cool mixer and really cool with 4x multitrack.
But so many things that always stared at me wondering if it would be usefull to me, but every time i try to even understand what all those things do or are useful for i just get lost with it.
Sill fine device for the price.
thex Zedi10 has the FX button for ext. FX Pedals you use per FX Send/Return
Can you use the usb 4 in and 4 out at the same time ? Or can you only use 4 in or 4 out ? I Ask because i want to hear the Pc Sound and i want to send my mic and music to the pc.
depends what channels you choose to send back. you have an option of M1-M2-L-R or M1-M2-Aux-FX or M1-M2-M3-M4. You choose and that is what gets sent to the DAW, which can record them all separately as well as at the same time.
FX (80..) SYMPHONY? I've never heard of that and curious about that. Maybe it's 4 live ambience 🤔
I've just bought a hk nano 600 unfortunately the microphone inputs on the unit itself are flat with no way of boosting the top mid frequency! would you say this mixer would help with such a problem, I've previously used an allen and heath pa12 which was fantastic sound I'm going from a jaguar to a mini I guess in the sound department, any suggestions welcome, thanks.

I get a loud noise sound coming from channel 1 if I knock the hi-z button slightly. It doesn't happen on the other three.

@@Nightingale-ug8qw Soundcraft notepad doesnt play well with Windows 10. Great mic pres when it works!! I returned mine and am getting the Zedi10fx.
1. Whyyy the hell is there no mid EQ on the stereo channel?! Come on. Much cheaper mixers do that.
2. If I use an external FX, and return into the ST2 channel, I can't use the USB in parallel or what?
Maybe someone you can answer this. The "FX to MIX" button controlling the overall effects, cranks up the volume to the mix significantly. It should, you would think, just color the sound - not increase it. Is there a way around this problem or is this normal??
you need to look at your knobs, you can control the levels and knock it down.
What's the noise over the entire video. Sounds like a noisy fan or something.
I am wondering if this is the mixer I need? I want to run an i-mac pro, two alto techsonic TS225S and a alto techsonic TS215S subwoofer. Does anyone have any information as to weather this desk would be a good purchase for this set up, or suggestions as to what may be more suitable.

Ye ghods. The acoustic of the room is harsh, the noise levels are problematic and I'd roll off the highs a tiny bit on that mic (or possibly dial down a compressor; it's quite harsh). It's a bit worrying to see a review of a bit of studio gear that sounds so harsh and noisy. Does not inspire confidence :)
it's not the Zedi, that's the youtuber responsible for that noise.
Can it be used as a playback for tracks, to another mixer and to in ear monitors receivers?

hello, is the aux out on my device broken? I plug headphones and only listen one side of the headphones and supposedly all aux out are stereo, is mine broken? Once I pull it out a bit I can listen both headphones ´
The aux out is mono line level, not made to have some headphones plugged in

Hello, can I use two mics on this mixer one with phantom power needed and another one without, at the same time? I can switch on 48V power and use these different types of mics without a damage

no, the 48V is for all inputs, not per-channel
Oh, almost forgot. The phantom power is only sent to XLR, not TRS, so if you plug your dynamic mics into TRS, and your condenser mics into XLR, you should be fine. Also, if you use a balanced dynamic mic, it won't be affected by phantom power.
I'm trying to use it with Garage Band on Ipad Pro but I have a very low input signal only. Anyone can help?
I had one of these Zed mixers but it was dead as a stone parrot within 18 months.If it looks like toy and breaks like a toy, then it is a toy. Save your money and buy a real mixer!

Don't buy this product now. Several people have problems like noise or poor recording quality. At first A&H did not admit this, until someone made complaints about this on youtube.

Some get the noise after weeks or a couple of months. Mine was crap from the beginning.
The problem is probably poor quality control as the mixer is produced in China. The typical scenario in a Chines factory is that the first batch or batches are excellent, but then in order to save money or because a component is hard to get, they use other cheaper parts.

Yes I will send it back. Another issue is that just like the guy in the link I added, A&H also here in Norway has a dealer (the one with the rights to import and resell) in denial, that prefer to blame the costumers rather than listen to their problems.
if you are reviewing a mixer and you are going to talk about sound quality; how come your video sounds so poor with so much noise floor! What a pity! I couldn´t watch to the end, very noisy!

noise is being picked up by his mic, look at his levels, gain wide open and you could probably pick up a rabbit fart 2 blocks away.
