I think that as a first single for the coming album, it's very good. I'm sure there will be more elaborated songs on the album, and songs I will prefer, but this one demonstrate their new sound and, even if it sounds like classic Bridear, there's a real improvment in recording and mix - Natsumi has never souded so good and ferocious on drums, Kimi's voice is clear and well balanced and both guitars are exactly what you expect for this kind of song. And, last but not least, the video is dynamic and very well filmed.

I've got a feeling this particular track is the most 'commercial' on the new album.
The Bloody Brides are going to bring the thunder.
Most anticipated album for a while 🤘

There's only one way to look at it, and that is I like it and that's all that matters to me.

Ladies working hard, and building on "Eyes of Doubt" in this song. - However, on the fripside, I like the more melody/anthemic sounds of some of the less-well known tracks. - But I'm sure this'll get lots of atttention in the right places. - And great so see Moe and Ayumi duelling it out on stage. Those two are a great combination. - And Natsumi was thrashing that borrowed drumkit within an inch of its life. A slow burner for me. I'm sure when it has a place on teh album, It'll all make perfect sense. Their trip to record the album has certainly put some scandi fire in their music. - Nice-1.

Classic Bridear in terms of Haru growling. Fun element every time I hear it. I think MOE and Ayumi are gelling well on the guitars with pace and technicality and Kimi is singing with more confidence in English, even though I prefer Japanese.

They actually recorded the album in Sweden with the metal producer Fredrik Nordström (In Flames, At the Gates, HammerFall, Dimmu Borgir, Arch Enemy, Obscura, Opeth, Bring Me the Horizon). There is a guest vocal appearance by Dream Evil singer Nick Night. I gather they are going back to their metal roots. CGCM Rock Radio has an online article. Psychomanteum Records used to be Setsuzoku Records a western record company doing Japanese rock/metal.

As a Bridear fan I'm happy with it. Great overall sound and an intro that reminds me (in a good way) of Flash of the Blade by Iron Maiden. I felt like the vocal entry was a bit underwhelming, and it's nothing like Brave New World Revisited in terms of creativity or Ignite in terms of catchiness, but it's just a very nice song to listen to. I like it a lot more than Eyes of Doubt.
Btw, I don't know why you mentioned Norwegian metal - this is clearly Swedish metal. (Just a bad joke based on the fact it was recorded in Sweden.)

Thank you so much! Always nice to get a fan opinion to be honest, but it certainly was obviously self aware and did a great job of doing what it set out to do. Oh, and jokes aside, I prefer your definition of genres ;) !!!!!

I like the different perspectives in breaking this down, and the honesty. For me, there's a lot of excitement in it as a fan, partly for the tones and mix, but taking a step back it's not a mind-blowing song.
Still, I think there are some really good or great things in it, e.g. the effectiveness of the main riff and the parts layered with it, some of the vocal harmony, the peppered-in harsh vocals, the rhythm changes, the triplets and sextuplets (one of which Ayumi matches as a very nice end to the solo). The chorus has been a grower for me, and I like the lyrical change in it the last time through.
Comparing to a couple of other singles (also opening tracks), I like this one more than Daybreak and maybe a little more than Ghoul.

I'm pretty excited for the new album. - Though they'll have to work hard to top [Aegis of Athena] that record was a masterpiece.

I loved Aegis of Athena and that one crushed Bloody Bride, which was awesome as well, but I am fully prepared for this new album to push right to their best. the sounds, tones, the sound MIX, everything seems above anything to date by them...I am stoked for what else is on this album! more metal? metal prog? power metal? maybe another power ballad that just melts every layer? IDK! LFG

@@michaelmunno Yeah, it'll be interesting to check out the rest of the songs, since the music for most of them was written by either Moe (like this song) or Ayumi. It seems like Misaki was the most prog-influenced member, though Kimi and Haru have done at least some stuff along those lines.

@@zephyr835 Yeah, I really love Brave New World, I was hoping for another epic proggy song, but I think Ayumi is more into classic maiden and bluesy stuff like old Sabbath. IDK, just a feeling I get. but IDK much about Moe, other than this song and IIRC maybe Eyes of Doubt was her too? I forget. I love when they break the 3-4 min box and get into more epic 8-12 minute songs. open it all up, have some breathing space and movements not just a formulaic radio edit.

@@michaelmunno More Sabbath vibes would be cool for them IMO, actually kind of like the breakdown in Bloody Bride but as the basis for a whole song.
Longer proggy stuff would be cool (especially with this tone). I keep checking for a pre-order that shows the lengths because I'm really curious. 😁Then again, Glitter and Boy are two of my favorites songs and they do a lot in 3.5 minutes, or Remedy in a little over 4.

@@zephyr835 yeah we'll have to see! But I was already excited about this new album between the obvious awesome chemistry we are seeing between Moe and Ayumi, the infused energy they have had since she joined, the changes all over the place, cover with KIMI actually growling!!? I mean the past year has teased a lot about their forward direction, new production people, going to Sweden, I mean this is a LOT for them and yet they are still clearly BRIDEAR< just amped up. Now I am even more excited after hearing this song. I cannot stop playing it! lol, so good. the ONLY thing I'd say is despite the MIX being so much better, I feel KIMI should be a little more powerful, but not post production boosting, like either in how they recorded her or mixed, not sure, she's just a TINY bit under the mix IMO. otherwise it's fucking outstanding and I love her voice. her vocals are so under-rated by those that harp on things like her accent or her tones. She's her, she's unique and so recognizable, I love her. she and Haru and the rest of the gang REALLY deserve this to be their breakout album, they have worked so hard and so humble and kind to their fans. relentless perseverance through all the years of changes. and seeing other bands start and soar must really be frustrating. PLEASE music gods let this be BRIDEAR's time!! LFG!!

Bridear is usually hit or miss for me, this song; I could do without the growling, but its not the lead vocalist and not use a lot so still in my tolerance of being able to enjoy the song ... instrumental bit on the bridge was little to long for me .. 6.5/10
