      Morgil Ravenswing It took about 42 years for boston to get a cup... your argument doesnt stand up even if Montreal get eliminated early in rounds and boston to the finals.

    • @sportsaholic4life750

      byGunplayy I'm actually pulling for Boston in the current series with Habs but it is true that alot of these big Bruin fans act like they have been so much greater than the habs when in reality as you stated they won ONE cup since 1970, and have only bee to the finals a couple times since and get bounced out in 1st or 2nd round more so than not over the past 30 years or so, while The Habs have several cups since the 70's and 21 year cup drought is less worse than 42 year that Bruins had.
      Plus Habs have 24 cups and even with them not winning since 93 they practically make the playoffs almost every year.
      and Bruins have like what 6 cups?

  • @BostonesPepe

    Talk about glory days. Bruins completely ran the Habs out of the Garden. The Bruins were a totally different team then. First of all they had top four defense. Chara-Seids were so much better then. Ference too and Boychuk is the only top four still in his prime. Kaberle was no better than 5th defenseman and McQuaid sixth as he should be now. Amazing and thanks again mr. Dafoomie. Help me make it through the long long summer

    Before this game I was somewhat uncertain of a Bruins Canadiens first round scenario. But after seeing that game, I say bring 'em on. This was a statement game in which the Bruins responded to all the drama that came out of Montreal within the last few weeks.
    Somebody call 9-1-1, Montreal is burning on the dancefloor. Woaaahh.

  • @coolguy02536
    @coolguy02536 9 лет назад +31

    You have to wonder what happened to THIS team. To go from total domination to 20 months without a victory over Montreal is pretty rough.
    Sure that includes the offseason, but it can still feel like forever.

    • @Branflakes1522
      @Branflakes1522 9 лет назад +10

      +Mike Hawk (Hertz) You know what happened?
      Traded: Boychuck, Ference, Horton, Peverley, Seguin, Lucic, Savard
      Not re-signed: Ryder, Campbell, Paille, Thornton
      Retired: Thomas, Kaberle
      Players who won the Cup that are still on the team
      Bergeron, Kelly, Krejci, Marchand, Chara, Seidenberg, McQuaid, Rask
      Classic Chiarelli. Win a Cup, trade everyone away

    • @coolguy02536
      @coolguy02536 9 лет назад

      Branflakes1522 Ference, Horton, and Peverly are all nothing now. Savard hasn't played since before this video so he's also not a factor.
      They had Tomas Kaberle at his worst and for like a month, what? Campbell and Paille had to go.

    • @Branflakes1522
      @Branflakes1522 9 лет назад +1

      Mike Hawk If you're talking about the days when Boston would dominate Montreal, Savard was part of it. Kaberle may not have factored offensively, but he had a good +/-. Ference was one of the top defensman, Horton had game winning goals left and right, and Peverley was a roll model for the younger players. Boston started losing to Montreal after the 2012-2013 season. All these guys left before/during that season

      Oh yeah, me too. The only time he gets more excited doing the play-by-play when the Bruins score a goal is when the other team scores a goal.

    My two favorite teams: Bruins (since 1965) and whoever is playing against the arrogant Habs.

    I think the Habs/Bruins, Hawks/Canucks, and Pens/Flyers are the top 3 most exciting rivalries in the NHL!

    When the Bruins were really good, now they've just beaten Montreal for the first time in 20 months or something

    I live in Massachusetts and am a B's fan. I have a friend whose a Canadiens fan and he said "Your goal horn sucks and is annoying." I said "Maybe if your team had a better goalie you wouldn't hear it as much." He didn't say anything for a little bit. :)

    Cambell's goal is why i love the Bruins. Splitting the D while you're down two men? Hells yes. Thats how it's done in Boston.

    The helmets look naked without the number decals on the front. I definitely like how teams started putting them on the front and back of the helmet

    Hey you almost had to call 911 to pull out of round 1. That 7-0 loss ended up almost doing in the Bruins that famous 1st round.
