Shout out the Bakery, where I learned a ton of insane building skills. Highly recommend hopping on if you want to learn too! IP: play.bakery.builders Bedrock Port: 19132
that’s for some reason THE most perfect thing to say i play minecraft for 3 years now and i’ve become pretty good at building but not yet so good as this
The brief mention story about you and your brother was really sweet Its really nostalgic seeing these old builds and its so cool to see how far you come
When I build, I usually start off with a somewhat basic design of what I think I want, and then I would add and remove details from the build until I'm fully satisfied with the build
Thank you mob for answering the question I asked you in DMs, hence why this vid was posted! hopefully one day I can become a better a builder and have a Minecraft world I'm proud of :)
I love that you have been playing for 13 years, your building skills are top notch and you dont need building help because your an amazing building to me 😊 i have been playing for about 6 1/2 years no matter the update no matter the condition im in it will always be my favorite game🔥😃😄
Those old builds r still beautiful coz if u go back and see how little variation to blocks we had for example 1.7.10 so if ur a long time player u got time to experiment with the blocks slowly as they were added if ur a new player and feeling overwhelmed by choice just follow the kiss (keep it simple stupid) rule and then add on and experiment from there experience will be the best teacher
Here’s how you really learn: Experiment. Try different techniques and styles. Find out what works best with you. Even use tutorials to help learn how to do stuff. I’ve done some builds before, and honestly although it is so time consuming, they turned out pretty good, and I’m not normally good. Hope this helps
@TheyofManyNamesMC yeah unfortunately. Maybe practice makes permanent? (which is actually better because it emphasizes the importance of practicing right
Im a young viewer and its so interesting looking at that and saying “your world’s about as old as me” and seeing how beautiful you’ve made it is so amazing the progress from start to finish is incredible, from the beginning of the superflat and my life.
Ive been playing minecraft since 2013. Ive gotten better at building but i usually build underground bases im not the best at building above ground buildings. I will be practicing now bc i have seen your builds.
Don't be afraid to dismantle something your building and starting over! Sometimes taking those materials and using them in a different way can make ALL the difference (ESPECIALLY in survival where resources are sometimes limited) It's a PITA but I assure you Once you start building something that you don't like It will sit unfinished So start over and go at it from a different direction That's what I did with my Melon Castle on Skyblock Built the base of the first tower really weird and I ended up hating it and just starting over Now it's finished and I like it a lot better 😅
That is just the motivation I needed my brother plays and I begged my mum to get it and she finally agreed and my brother is way better and I felt like I was bead because when playing survival my brother would be in full netherite and I would only be in iron armour so thanks
If you want to get better with circles make a custom TARDIS in the nether with all sorts of rooms Like seriously I went from making octagons to perfect circles in one build
My dad had the same experience with Minecraft when he first tried it. His brother in law gave him it, he said 'this game sucks' but then didn't hop of until he noticed the sun rising
I’m actually making a survival island in Bedrock, and two little islands next to it. One of the island’s key parts is a giant Autumn tree with a secret room based of the Tricky Trials update, and it looks AMAZING, and not just to me, to some of my family too.
Bro, you're lucky, you still have your first world. I still remember thinking that the weird generation error in my world was intentional. I would pay a lot for playing one more time in that poorly built house
Another thing you should do to become better at building is: go out of your comfort zone. If you just build the same thing/style over and over, youre never gonna improve. Change the color palette, use blocks you havent used before, experiment!
Dude you have inspired me to start on a new world recently and have an extensive list of all these projects I want to do, this short and your “How to Not Quit” videos are awesome and make me want to really set some cool goals for myself and get better ❤
Omg I love that story, I remember me and my cousins would have our laptops and have a lan party And I clearly remember playing Minecraft around the time it was supposed to be bedtime but then all of a sudden some birds started chirping and the sun came up
I have been playing since December 2016 so i haven't played for so long compared tonothers but i have followed some of these steps and my building skills has 100% gotten much better than my builds from 2016. I still remember the first house i made, a brick cube.
Well that's just one style. Some people prefer fantasy, futuristic, cyberpunk, steampunk, and so many more. You don't see much of that in reality but it's still amazing.
Goes for everything in life, there’s never some cheat code, just put in the work and you can make it. The only thing that holds you back from a skill is how much you want it.
I've been playing for almost 8 years and I still can't build well. Also, I started playing Minecraft for almost half of my life. Crazy to think about that.
I remember trying to build a house around a year ago, and I tried building it from the bottom up, with no plan or inspiration. Now, I recently built an awsome windmill to cover up a non functioning carrot farm. Edit: The farm wasn't working because of where it was, but I definitely kept the windmill.
Me personally, I believe my childish builds were WAY BETTER than my current builds. Idk why but thats just the way it is. Like I was so creative but now its just plain ol' stupid builds
Shout out the Bakery, where I learned a ton of insane building skills.
Highly recommend hopping on if you want to learn too!

Rome wasn't built in a day
Or in this case fenhaven
In 30 minutes
that’s for some reason THE most perfect thing to say
i play minecraft for 3 years now and i’ve become pretty good at building but not yet so good as this
Fr😂
Mogswamp’s world wasn’t built in a day
Despite not being the one who built it, seeing your greenhouse was pretty nostalgic
W
The crappy glass hits hard
I mean it looks like every old MC build, crappily made with like only wood and glass, plus the old textures
The brief mention story about you and your brother was really sweet
Its really nostalgic seeing these old builds and its so cool to see how far you come
I wish I had family to play Minecraft with. If I become a dad, I’d be so down to play it with my kids
This is genuinely one of the best shorts i have ever seen , we love you Mog :)
“Doesn’t matter if your house is a mansion or a few dirt blocks once you place the crafting table text to the furnace, it’s a home” - A Wise Person
In what situation is the furnace made *before* the crafting table??
Rare moment you see Mog in a non-superflat world
When I build, I usually start off with a somewhat basic design of what I think I want, and then I would add and remove details from the build until I'm fully satisfied with the build
Same
Bro his starter builds are better then my builds now 💀
"Practice makes perfect"
And I took that personally
The version I always like to say is: "practice makes better (and consistent)"
It's an important reminder for everyone that you don't just get abilities like this, especially not without practicing
I don't know what it is but but the old Minecraft pictures is one of the most nostalgic things ever
Just like anything in life, becoming a better builder takes practice! Love this
Thank you mob for answering the question I asked you in DMs, hence why this vid was posted! hopefully one day I can become a better a builder and have a Minecraft world I'm proud of :)
The music and the old textures is so nostalgic
I love that you have been playing for 13 years, your building skills are top notch and you dont need building help because your an amazing building to me 😊 i have been playing for about 6 1/2 years no matter the update no matter the condition im in
it will always be my favorite game🔥😃😄
They are still the best builds ever in our hearts
People who've been playing for years and still can't build 👇
I be still building dirt huts 😂
I steal villagers houses
I was playing for longer than him and im still bad in building💀💀💀💀💀
u need a ton of motivation for this. just remember, we are watching all ur videos!
I am envious by the fact you have your old minecraft world… mine got deleted and I would give anything to bring it back just for nostalgia

Thanks mogswamp you've inspired me
that greenhouse looks straight out of one of the 2013 minecraft handbooks (not saying he copied it just fits the style)
Practise never makes perfect. It makes improvement
Yes but that's not alliterative
@TheyofManyNamesMC yeah unfortunately. Maybe practice makes permanent? (which is actually better because it emphasizes the importance of practicing right
You should build your first builds in your super flat. Just for nostalgia sake
Another tip is to plan it out in creative mode.
At the end of the video Mog was like NEVER BACK DOWN NEVER WHAT!
Bro every day I decide not to play Minecraft again but then I watch your videos and I straight open it.
Those kind of builds in my mind are the best builds not because they look the best but because of those memories that go along with them.
Damn he didn’t troll us
Im a young viewer and its so interesting looking at that and saying “your world’s about as old as me” and seeing how beautiful you’ve made it is so amazing the progress from start to finish is incredible, from the beginning of the superflat and my life.
Never back down, Never what? NEVER GIVE UP
"Never give up!" is generally a good motto!
A pretty solid advice, honestly
Ive been playing minecraft since 2013.
Ive gotten better at building but i usually build underground bases im not the best at building above ground buildings. I will be practicing now bc i have seen your builds.
Ay, for those who know Wings of Fire, I built Scarlet's arena and it did NOT take only a day.
But hey, worth it!
Message reminds me a little of the Lego moive
You've been playing as long as I've been alive!
Don't be afraid to dismantle something your building and starting over!
Sometimes taking those materials and using them in a different way can make ALL the difference (ESPECIALLY in survival where resources are sometimes limited)
It's a PITA but I assure you
Once you start building something that you don't like

That's what I did with my Melon Castle on Skyblock
Built the base of the first tower really weird and I ended up hating it and just starting over

That clip of him playing back then plus wet hands just hit hard😢
My dad had the same experience with Minecraft when he first tried it. His brother in law gave him it, he said 'this game sucks' but then didn't hop of until he noticed the sun rising

Never think less of your builds from when you had no experience because it was what worked for you before you decided to learn how to improve.
Never back down, never give up
Bro been playing that world for my whole life
I have been playing since 2014 and my builds still look like those beginner ones.
I actually think that that first greenhouse looks good.
I don’t know why seeing the old glass textures on the greenhouse hit so hard
Bro, you're lucky, you still have your first world. I still remember thinking that the weird generation error in my world was intentional. I would pay a lot for playing one more time in that poorly built house
Another thing you should do to become better at building is: go out of your comfort zone. If you just build the same thing/style over and over, youre never gonna improve. Change the color palette, use blocks you havent used before, experiment!
Why did i genuinely shed a tear 😅
Bro you give me so much inspiration it makes me want to build more thank you!!!!!!❤
Dude you have inspired me to start on a new world recently and have an extensive list of all these projects I want to do, this short and your “How to Not Quit” videos are awesome and make me want to really set some cool goals for myself and get better ❤
Never give up hits different from the guy who's forced to mine 50 million dirt.
Me: Starts practicing building
My screentime: nope
Same thing with drawing. I’m good at drawing cause I’ve doodled in my notebooks for 17 years. And I only learned how to draw hands a few years ago
Thank you for the kind comment on discord mog. Kept me going.
Omg I love that story, I remember me and my cousins would have our laptops and have a lan party And I clearly remember playing Minecraft around the time it was supposed to be bedtime but then all of a sudden some birds started chirping and the sun came up
Whoa whoa whoa they do still be good man i like your old build. :)
I have been playing since December 2016 so i haven't played for so long compared tonothers but i have followed some of these steps and my building skills has 100% gotten much better than my builds from 2016.
I still remember the first house i made, a brick cube.
Tbh the first greenhouse build only looked bad bc u didn't have optifine or anything else to blend the glass blocks together
Me quitting a big build after placing 5 blocks
i think the most important tip is to make your building close to reality
Worst tip ever.
You can build what's not in reality, why trying to do what we can see all day.
Close to our Imagination ?
Well that's just one style. Some people prefer fantasy, futuristic, cyberpunk, steampunk, and so many more. You don't see much of that in reality but it's still amazing.
"anyone can be a master builder" Is that the plot of the Lego Movie 3?
Old Greenhouses look good
Staying up accidentally till the sun comes up is the mark of a great childhood
Goes for everything in life, there’s never some cheat code, just put in the work and you can make it. The only thing that holds you back from a skill is how much you want it.
I've been playing for almost 8 years and I still can't build well.
Also, I started playing Minecraft for almost half of my life. Crazy to think about that.
Mog should try and make a realms map, I would love to play a map made by him
"Is it that time again mr. freeman?" - G-man
Practice really does make perfect, two years ago I could only make simple dirt block bases
Now, I can confidently make oak plank block bases.
Never give up never back down!
Bro got the best timing to Rick roll us😂
Can we talk about how my age is the same amount of years you’ve been playing Minecraft because I was also born in 2011
Before i became a master builder i was fishing and i called myself "The Master Baiter"
NEVER BACK DOWN NEVER GIVE UP
Time, and motivation to keep building.
I remember trying to build a house around a year ago, and I tried building it from the bottom up, with no plan or inspiration. Now, I recently built an awsome windmill to cover up a non functioning carrot farm.
Edit: The farm wasn't working because of where it was, but I definitely kept the windmill.
When i was a kid i thought if u placed villigers they would build houses for you so i spawned them and waited for hours some days and its true
He has been playing Minecraft since I was born
Loved this! Thank you for all your videos!
Practise makes perfect!
You have played as long as I have lived.
A wise man once said:
“NEVER BACK DOWN NEVER WHAT?”
Real life inspirations will be cool
Bro pulled out a NickEh30 at the end 💀
“Put in the work, put in the hours”
-some pebble
Never back down never what
my go to response when asked how to build like me is: i don't know, i've been playing for over a decade it just happened gradually.
Never back down never what?
my tip is color just colors make ur build
"A few months ago, I built this beautiful greenhouse..."
Rush: Hello :)
Me personally, I believe my childish builds were WAY BETTER than my current builds. Idk why but thats just the way it is. Like I was so creative but now its just plain ol' stupid builds
How could you not like this video
NEVER BACK DOWN NEVER WHAT????
Another good thing is don't join a server with a bunch of strangers. (I play vectaraia)
Bros been playing Minecraft for the some amount I was born lol
