As time passes, you can determine how much time, you will be given a random effect to help you beat the game or HINDER your progress. The longer you take, the more overpowered the effects can be, so you may want to have a milk bucket on hand in case you get an effect like poison 255. You must beat the game to win, but I would suggest giving yourself some lives because instant damage 20 could end the video in like 10 minutes for you.
