    I will try this next for sure.my oaymeal cakes never turned out well .i love chocolate especially chocolate cakes.i lovethe simple chocolate ideaand its healthy without the butter .i probably will try it today as i have everything

      Thank you ..sure you can do it ..but make sure you bake little more time than you bake normal chocolate cake..oats flour is little dense

    Looks super moist and super delicious,, my daughter has celiac disease,, this cake would be a easy fix to solve her cravings for cake ,. Gluten free cakes from stores has ingredients list not less than 30.. I m too scared of it ,, can I use egg in place of curd ?

      Hi ..if it is all purpose flour cake I would suggest adding condensed milk instead of yogurt ..as this is oats flour cake I do not want to give any suggestions without trying ..I tried With yogurt only ..if you want to make instant curd add vinegar /lemon juice to milk ,rest for 15 mins & it will turn as curd

      Hi if you do frosting then to maintain consistency you have to keep in fridge else frosting will start to melt ..after frosting you need to set in fridge for 1 or 2 hours ..after setting may be you can keep it out until 45 mins ..Cake base you can keep outside for 2-3 days without frosting

      Hi ..if you using jaggery blocks first dissolve them in water & boil until the jaggery dissolves ,cool it to room temperature and add the jaggery syrup in place of maple syrup ..if adding jaggery powder in wet ingredients first add oil & then jaggery powder ,mix well & then add all wet ingredients ..

      Bake it in 355F/180C for around 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean

    How much eggs need to added instead of curd ???
    If you're using sugar it must be granulated or powdered ??? And pls tell me in which step these things needed to be added ??? Rolled oats okay ???

      Add two eggs Instead curd ..granulated sugar is fine & add it along with oats & cocoa powder & mix well ..I would suggest to grind rolled oats into oats powder & add ..in this recipe I added grounded rolled oats flour only ..hope it helps

      This is approximately 1/2 kg cake ..shelf life is 3-4 days if you keep in fridge

      If you are planning to steam it you need to add more oil /butter to maintain the moisture after cooking ..i cannot guarantee the browning of cake still the taste will be almost same ..I never steamed oats cake ..you could try & let me know how it turned out..this proportion of ingredients is designed for baking cake only ..

      No it won’t have the smell ..use plain coconut oil ..if you are really concerned then you can add any flavorless oil like vegetable oil/canola /refined oil ..I preferred coconut oil because I feel it give lighter cake than other oil

      If you reduce oil then the cake will turn dry & crumbly ..if you want a soft moisture cake oil is needed .as this is oats cake & eggless make sure you follow the exact recipe

      Replace curd with instant buttermilk (add lemon juice /vinegar to milk you can get instant buttermilk )and add that instant buttermilk instead curd

      Thank you for your feedback ..I prepared it without oven using wide pan on stovetop..so I mentioned it as without oven ..Instead of sugar I used maple syrup so I mentioned as without sugar ..May be I need to mention more precise saying without white sugar

    Kids loved it...but I feel the batter became very liquidy...I can reduce the liquids like milk and oil too was on higher side.granulated Sugar I used was same quantity as in recipe.Time taken with given recipe was 40 min at 180 and 15 min at 150.....Tried again with half quantity milk and half q oil but curd remains same...time 3o min..it was done

      Glad it turned out tasty ..have you applied oil /butter paper before pouring the cake batter ..demould the cake only after it cool down ..other than this cake will crumble when the oil/butter used is less ..overmixing the cake batter also make the cake crumble ..please check any of these would help you next time

      If you are using Quick /Instant Oats then it will be the almost same except the batter will be little thick compared to mine ..the final cake will be grainy in texture ..if you like that texture you can try that way ..

      You can replace with two eggs ..or add 1 spoon of lemon juice/vinegar to milk & wait for 15 minutes until it curdle & then add it ..condensed milk also replace curd ..

      May be you added more baking soda /liquids ..while measuring they should be flat in the spoon /not heaped ..this is perfect for 6 inch pan ..yes based on the thickness of pan you use outside time May differ

      In air fryer use cake setting & set timer to 40 mins ..each Air fryer is different so check it & add or less 5 mins if there is a need ..

      In my experience,cake sinking in the middle because of less oven temperature/old oven,expired baking powder,or over usage of baking powder /soda
