Number One: THAT IS SO SAD! That poor woman died alone and no one missed her, no family called on her, no friends! How else could she have been dead in the house that long with no one knowing? :'(

Wouldn't the family with the snake infestation have a case to sue the realtors for not disclosing the information that there was a snake infestation? Like, isn't that something that you're required to tell potential buyers?

I honest to God have a cousin who had this same thing happen to her and her husband! They slept the first night in their new, MASSIVE, beautiful home. The next afternoon, my cousin saw a snake slither across the livingroom floor! The closest door to getting out of the room went to the basement: upon reaching the basement, she found hundreds of them, actually in a pile, in the middle of the floor. But, they had inadvertently signed a piece of paper saying that they understood the situation, the document was sadly accurate. Did I mention that my cousin had a TRUE phobia of snakes! Not just afraid of them, but so afraid of them that being around one was a danger to her health due to possible heart attack, etc. The story actually has a happy ending: with no snakes dying, the house being virtually empty of snakes and my cousin is now almost comfortable with snakes! Also, as my cousin is a model, even with the snakes, it had a high pricetag: it's now worth over eight times what they paid for it 🤑

It depends what country it was purchased. In the U.S. I'm pretty sure it matters what state.
But one would assume they would have a big lawsuit on their hands ehh?!?

@@ballisticcoefficientdepend9811 lesson of the story, read every paper you sign!
Especially buying a house or even a car from a shady salesman.
Of course they will do everything possible to tell you that house isn't filled with hundreds of snakes!
With that said, I'm happy everything worked out for your cousin and she made out like a bandit with 8x's what she paid!

Different states have different laws regarding disclosure. I am not familiar with real estate law in Arizona, but in Indiana you only have to disclose if there was a murder committed in the house or answer any questions put forth by a potential buyer as honestly as possible. So, if buying a house in Indiana, make sure you ask alot of questions, especially "was this house ever used for a method lab"...which makes a house toxic and unliveable, yet not illegal to sell undisclosed.

They moved and couldn't afford rent on another property and the mortgage of the snake house since no one would buy it. Not sure what they did about the disclosure issue since the people who owned the house before had moved because of the snakes and the information about them was easily found when the previous owners did a search on the property. The place is listed on Zillow. Just do a search for 'Rexburg snake house' on your fave search engine.

    • @red0421

Especially since it sounds like the snakes were musking in the water, which could make them all really sick as wild animals can carry disease and parasites.

    • @AshaBays
      @AshaBays 6 лет назад

I used to live in Phoenix about 18 years ago, and I was more surprised to hear that this place even has a basement, seeing as how basically no one has basements in Phoenix, since the bedrock is so shallow and you typically have to use cost-prohibitive explosives to create one prior to building, than I was to see the dolls. Dolls are creepy, sure, but a basement in Phoenix is an anomaly😂

That couple with the snake infestation, I actually saw that on TV before I even found it on RUclips, it was on a show call Infestation, where people tell their stories of their horrible infested homes that they were forced to move out of, it was quite interesting really

So in the show Sleepy Hollow Ben Franklin created a Frankenstein type monster, in real life human remains were discovered in his basement.

I'm perplexed as to how the house with all the snakes even made it through a sell with that infestation. If a proper home inspection was done,I would think there would be recourse for the realtor and the inspection company if was inspected and not found. Just a terrible thing to happen to a family.

It's pretty bad that no one came to check on the lady who had died in her home, in all those years! She didn't have a single loved one who called, visited or checked on her? Thats really sad!

LOL regarding the dolls. Someone's done it for fun to creep people out. lol I feel so badly for the couple having to file for bankruptcy. That's awful.

My sister lived in a house in Edison where acupple of mofia guys were buried in the basement- course they were removed & yrs went by before hubbie told her about it.
She always thought her daughter were telling tales when she was very little about seeing guys in her closet.
I wonder if the bodies were really moved. She yrs latter sold the house-it was knocked down. Now 2 houses were built in its place.

They didn't have to sell the house and file for bankruptcy, they could have sued the estate agent for purposefully withholding such extremely important information.

Those dolls look so clean. They don't look dusty or anything. Someone must be keeping them clean. How do you get a tank into a basement? That poor old lady. No one checked on her in 6 years? No family or neighbors or anyone? So sad. :(

Yes I'll live any creepy basement, and a good way to counter the creepiness it's just clean the damn basement and give it a fresh set of of paint.
I mean the Filth is the Real Horror, I mean there's a good damn reason why we keep the lights off.
The light reveals too damn much Filth.
But yeah pretty much most old creepy basements are Filthy.

Also be a good idea invest in Night Lights, I mean seriously I don't know why people don't invest on that.
I mean the real purpose of Night Lights is not keeping kids from being afraid, instead the real purpose is to make the room somewhat lit so you can navigate without a problem.
I mean I can tell you why people are afraid of the dark!
Not just the unknown, it's also the fact it's hard and navigate in the dark.
I mean seriously I'm afraid to be in the dark all with these tripping, slowing down because you don't want to trip, might fall down the stairs if you try to run in the dark, accidentally bump into the Killer, you have to slow down walking down stairs.
I mean pure darkness is just straight-up annoying ):

That 100 year old Ouija board is probably worth a few bucks? Sell it, give the money away & rid yourself of the memories! I did find a cross under the old baseboard in my bedroom at home when I was 16 when I tore up the carpet to expose the original hardwood floor. That was kind of nice, really.

I would sue the Realtor for Nondisclosure, and get all monies refunded. I could never live over an old burial site of any kind. Same with the people with the snakes in the wall. Once again, sue realtor for nondisclosure, and fraud, plus misrepresentation.
