Ice Age GBA Any% Speedrun in

I played this game something like 15 years ago and haven't played it again ever since. The moderator of this game on speedrun.com named 607 convinced me to optimize it.
It took me just a week-end to relearn, optimize and do a decent run of this game in the Any% category. Besides it is an easy and quick game with 7 big levels with Manny, and 3 scrolling levels with Cid.
I played it with BizHawk as 607 recommended.
This run isn't bad at all but some mistakes could have been avoided:
4 seconds on lvl 2: 2 bad birds.
6+ seconds on lvl 4: I missed the jump at 7:50 and slowpy execution.
6 seconds on lvl 5: the nut didn't touch the armadillo at 10:51.
7 seconds on lvl 6: Scroll Killer
7 seconds on lvl 7: bad execution
12 seconds on lvl 8: bad execution
5+ seconds could be saved in lvl 10 with a risky strat but I played safely with this good pace.
So basically, a very low 23 minute run is possible without all those time losses.
In my splits I wrote a code for Manny's levels. The capital letters represent an action to do after each shaded screens:
J: an immediate jump
W: wait a bit before jumping
N: nothing, just walking
In those levels, they are 9 screens and a Boss. Sometimes I changed the actions for faster but riskier strats.
The 100% category is much tougher than any% as I can't afford to lose acorns. Since no one has submitted a 100% run, maybe I'll do it later, in a few weeks or more.
This game deserves more players.

Ah, I like that easier method for the snake boss. I also didn't know the baby could kill stuff!
I didn't think of it being faster to death warp on the rhino boss.

16:17 Huh, I did not think that was possible. I've tried it multiple times, I'm sure. And then right after getting down an ice block by slashing at it... I've practised this room a lot, but it seems like I should have played around a bit more. :P
