This class has a clear identity and very interesting mechanics. I would love to see elements of this implemented in the game.
I was super excited for Death Knight. I absolutely love the Lich King, the Scourge, and all the lore behind them. But I would toss Death Knight out in a heartbeat for something like this, what an awesome custom class.
Costless cards would need to have a thing like Forge or Tradeable where you can put them over your deck to set their cost to something so that they're playable.
ye that would be an elegant solution, maybe silence them though so it isnt like the go to mode with cards like that dragon
I am so upset by this man... that I didn't have ideas like this before them. This is such a well designed class from a glance. Everything looks so new.
thats not hearthstone themed tho. everything in hearthstone class wise come from wow. and wow already have a shapeshifter class. its called DRUID!

the only class thats left to be added is monk and possibly evoker, i highly doubt blizzard would break the wow theme and add something else
@jagosvujovic2086 already stated to be the case. Iksar said before he left that the next HS class would be either a HS original or DK (or monk).
these Hero Form ideas that revert to normal when armor is gone would be freaking amazing
14:45 yo, Drakonic Mistress is basically immune to transformation-based removal. Devolve? 4/12 dragon. Hex? 4/12 dragon.

Some thoughts:
-I assume that bacuase of how the form cards are written, they function with armour gain cards, like armour vendor.
-Rock Form somehow makes grizzled wizard of all cards into an honest-to-god threat. On turn 4, play wizard and then the rock, and your opponent has a permanent +3 mana cost on every card. Its even slightly consistent, since you can run 2 of each.
-Its no wonder why the forgotten god was forgotten. Its replicatotron for 10 mana.
-Releasing this set alongside witchwood makes evolve shaman much spookier. This class adds an endless supply of highroll minions from evolve effects.
-The quest is extremely spooky. Run it in a cute deck, or even just along decent token minions, such as irondeep trogg, and your practically guaranteed to complete it. increase the turns required, or make it a start of turn effect.
-atom form is horrifying, especially in a highlander deck with the guy that makes forms permanent.
Shapeshifter class seems like fun! But I'm still waiting for other generations of Pokemon Trainer class.

The reason you'd want to summon a copy of ancient statue is because it wouldnt be an ancient statue. Morph would trigger after the transformation, so you'd get a copy of whatever it became. By the same token, sus statue would have rush after it transforms as well
Design-wise, this man is a genius
Would genuinely love to see something like this in the game. Temporary hero cards are a really cool idea

it would be cool if we could use them in dungeon runs or adventures,balancing is kind of hard ,but if they allow to add it to the custom game modes i would paly it

The costless mechanic could use a bit of a tweak. I would recommend having the default cost be 5 so you can top deck them, but then maybe denote that they are cost flexible with a purple mana gem and have the other cards change the cost of cost-flexible cards in hand. That way your less dependant on having both halves of the package and the cost reduction is just a bonus.
Really cool class though! They did so much with the theme.

Dracthyr Evoker will very likely be the next hearthstone class. Monk will be much more difficult to create a unique class identity that doesn't just feel like a mixture of other classes such as rogue/priest/pally so I highly doubt they will decide to do monk before Dracthyr. Dracthyr are the newest and probably coolest class ever to be added to WoW and were just added in the most recent expansion, and similar to worgens, evokers can morph into a humanoid form. Given that we know at least some of the hearthstone dev team watch your content, and all the 'coincidental' predicting the future we saw from the pokemon trainer class, I'd say it's not only possible but actually very likely the dev team have already or will see this class and maybe implement some of these ideas on their own fashion for Evokers. In saying that, I don't think it would ever be at all similar to this class and certainly wouldn't expect to see anywhere near the emphasis a Shapeshifter class would have on morphing because it just wouldn't feel like a Dracthyr Evoker identity but there's certainly parts of this that would fit nicely.

Blizzard would never create a class like this. Because how absurd those costless cards are? Because they would never create non-legendaries hero cards? Because of how utterly overcharged with mechanics it is? Nah, it's because they would never allow a portrait that sexy. Character is Hel from Smite, btw, in case someone is curious.
On a more serious note, costless cards could probably screw over card generation, so I guess that's one reason Blizzard would never consider that idea.

This got me so excited that I forgot that this is not gonna be a real class, or is not one *yet.* I got so excited to play these in current hearthstone lol, especially because of the portraits, but all these cards are so unique and interesting too...
While looking for custom classes in HS -- How about no and they just release the classes of WoW instead!? Where's the Monk?? They released the Demon Hunter years ago now then only recently the Death knight (which came way before Demon hunter in WoW but whatever.) But what about Monk? We got "some" pandaran neutral minions but... No mentions of anything monk related. A cool thing though is that the guys of WoWTCG Reborn actually released the monk class before Blizzard with Heathstone. XD

I planned on watching this video for like 3 minutes, see what it's about, then dip. Haven't played since Witchwood and I pay attention here and there to some Hearthstone stuff.
This. This is the kind of Class that makes me remember old Hearthstone. Because it just feels FUN. What I would give to see Day9 react to these expansions over the years (if this class had come out) and their crazy effects.
Lore related reasons: shape-shifting is more of a trait that multiple races have access to(dragons, worgens, demons) or the apility to shape-shift you or others is part of other classes arsenal(mages, druids, demon hunters etc.). Also would you even need something like a shapeshifter when mages play 60+ cards that did not even start in their decks, priests beat you with the biggest guy you own while repeating "stop beating yourself" and rogues just play all the possible classes in a single game? If there are classes I want to see added they are the ones already present in the source material(in some way or another), those being Monk, Blademaster, Invoker.
The idea of the separate hero forms is really cool, but stacking them would be weird. If you played Dragon Form and then Rock Form, then either you get 24 armor, in which case losing all your armor would put you back to the original hero, or you would gain 12 armor and then gain a separate 12 armor and it would remember how much armor your previous form had? That sounds like too much to track, so it would probably be best if the hero forms couldn't stack in the same way weapons can't stack.
Very interesting ideas, but lets be honest guys, it 100% aint happening! If they will ever introduce a new class to Hearthstone, it will be either Monk(thats my guess, because they can also combine it with a Pandaria expansion) or an Evoker!
The person that made this wrote and specifficaly pointed out that morph triggers after. If a morph minion would be transformed it’s morph wouldn’t trigger since it then would be a different minion. Not 100% sure that my way of thinking is correct.

because that's just hel from smite, so blizzard would have to go through the lawsuit for legal rights to hel's design

8:20 That would not work. As they said, the Morph triggers after the transformation. So transforming the morpher would just give you the 2 charge minions.
Well, but then morph would never do anything right? Cuz I think the whole point is that when the minion with morph gets trasformed, it triggers its effect, so why would it not work like that here?

@Noone-uw3mk apologies, I did misread something. In the post, it says when a minion transforms, but in the keyword bubble it specifically says this. That did confuse me when I was looking at it again.
Anyone else wondering if they gonna round out the last WoW classes in HS eventually i wouldve thought they wouldve started with something boring like monk and then worked up to DH and DK

Costless needing to get a Mana Cost before getting played which require to draw and play other cards that do that is way too clunky to work.
The part of the identity about temporary Hero Forms is really cool tho
It sounds complicated but. It would be a fun class. Also goes well with the lore 🤔 titans vs old gods stuff 🤔. A new class would be a refreshing thing
5:50 i think it would have to change to be "spell that draws cards" for it to be good because of too many manions being bad one if they have card draw involved but landing a nourish would be awesome but and acolyte of pain would feel like dooddie

Would be fun to see a titan hero with a built in special condition / mechanics. Like how cthun had a power up via cultist have it power up a re origination event than when triggerd empowers both cards left in deck an hero power.
