- Does a @zenithac CH750 Cruzer use jet fuel? Not quite, but I do get asked regularly. My method for finding, transporting, and testing ethanol-free auto fuel for aviation use.

Nice work! :-)
Many thanks!
Very useful, thanks for sharing your experience!
Glad it was helpful!
The replacement for 100LL can't get here fast enough.
Great info! Thanks for sharing
Glad it was helpful!
What do you do if you need to fill up at a remote airport? Do you search around for ethanol-free or use 100LL with a lead scavenger?
I use 100LL and lead scavenger (decalin)
How much octane booster do you add?
2.6oz/10 gallons, direct from their dosage chart for 2 octane numbers
Removing the ethanol from 10% ethanol gas, lowers the octane rating by 2 points.
Good to know!
Ethanol is in there to support to the corn growers and fund the kick backs to the politicians who ‘throw their weight behind’ this very stupid and short sighted notion that it magically reduces pollution. Ethanol pulls in water, degrades fuel lines and rubber carb components, increases engine heat production all leading to additional wear and tear. And is a potential disaster to light sport engines. Lead in avgas does lead to additional deposits, but also reduces valve wear. Side note: all of this is moot as long as aviation insurance continues to soar and exclude those who want to buy or build.
