My "in" to Zappa was Lumpy Gravy, that album would put most people off for good, but not me. I was a 14 year old schoolboy in the UK in 1972. In 1974 i played hooky from school and went by train, into Liverpool, and bought Apostrophe on the day of its UK release. Zappa is still my faourite to this day.
Been a fan since the ,60s my friend called me and said he had this album named the mothers of invention ?I go what?after that Suzy cream cheese been hooked ever since not only was frank the nearest guy in rock if you want to call it that but just as funny as hell no body I think gets the movie uncle meat I was also into mad magazine and zap comic so all this stuff at the time worked this music saved me from so much depression pop on another band from. l.a. and just enjoy he gave us so much music wise and all the guys that played his music thank you dweezle is now carrying on this wonderful music and his great band!
