An excellent and thoroughly enjoyable interview Chris. Fascinating to hear Sam's perspective on recent events. He is clearly a very knowledgeable bloke and the way in which you facilitated the conversation was first class.
The one thing I would say however that pretty much all the comments and views expressed by those from all quarters whether supportive or not of Neil Harris's decision to resign are all based on what people have assumed or interpreted to be the reasons behind it, which also include those intimated by Neil himself (although in his letter to the fans he did not actually specify a reason other than to basically say he thought the time was right)
When Neil returned to the club it was as Head Coach not Manager. Exactly what his job description was we are not privy to and neither do we know what discussions took place at the time of his appointment regarding his future role and involvement with recruitment etc. Neither have we any idea of what discussions have taken place over recent times which has culminated in his decision to resign.
So therefore whilst all that has been said may or may not be accurate the fact is we only know one side of the story. We do not know, and are not likely to know what has taken place internally and the club's perspective on what has occurred and the reasons behind it.
Like a lot of things there are often two sides to something and unless you do it is difficult to form a balanced view.
Without question Neil did a fantastic job when he returned but I have supported Millwall for nearly 70 years now through thick and thin and experienced all of the highs and lows but it is time to move on.

Neil the legend Harris is my 3rd ever best player at Millwall, and In my opinion 2nd best manager as well.. if it wasn't for the antic's of the board and things going on behind the scenes.who knows where bomber would have taken us.. But in my opinion he'll be back as they say 3 Times the charm and 3rd time Lucky..
Great stuff Chris ans and Sam, 🦁👏👏

Fascinating interview, and a new candidate was raised in Shaun Derry. Liked him as a loan player and he has gained good experience as an assistant manager.

Very interesting in respect of Jonny Jackson’s appraisal and appreciation of the Millwall defensive capabilities. I suspect Adam Barrett is at least partly responsible for this. Despite the fact that much of the Millwall fan base paints Barrett as the biggest pantomime villain since Alex Aldridge.
