Haha that was pure panic! I thought that they had dropped off, so I kept talking as if we were still live, which I'm glad you didn't see. I'm afraid to see what I look like when I froze.
Ill be at the book signing in Tempe on August 22nd. Ill be giving Mark a card signed by all my clients at the rehab where i am Program Coordinator, and also a 5 year chip. Can't wait! Great, great book. I too have been given the gift of desperation.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book. The audiobook version was especially good as it was spoken by Mark. The music Mark has created and my connection with it as a listener and as a guitar player has been extremely important to me over my 20 years of sobriety. Then to hear Mark speak about his recovery journey adds to the connection for me. I respect that Mark didn’t speak much on Chris Adler. While part of me would like to know that story, ultimately respect for everyone concerned is a classy way to handle it. I’m looking forward to listening to the book again. Thanks for assisting Mark to bring this to the world, Ben. Best, Nathan.

My pleasure! Mark is a good friend, and I was honored to help him tell his story.
