- Desert Season is officially here! I love being back in Glamis, it's been too long. Killer weather, and more importantly, so fun to finally get the Speed and new Pro R in the dunes! Quite different from last week's adventure in Sand Hollow, and just as much fun.

Dude loved the run up Olds and you could stay on the gas through bottom section and the other SXS's have to let up due to bucking. Speed looked planted!! Speed key will be perfect for us Sand guys. Keep up the vids man cause you know us future owners live through your vids!

Great video as always. But man. After ripping side by side with one at olds and then down sand highway. It made me happy that I bought a Pro R. I do love the interior though for sure!
Is it me or does the speed utv sound like a pissed off weed wacker? Also why are the speed stock tires so narrow? Any recommendations for desert PRO R tires? Can only go up to 33”.

I agree the Speed doesn't sound the best, but it's quiet, and I like quiet, I must be getting old...haha. I REALLY like the new Tensor regulator 2's... Great tire for the price and the 35's will be available in January.

Haha RG, Polaris and CanAm Marketing staff I met a the Sand Show all complimented our shootout video, we try our best.....
Frankly, after RG shut down the DesertSXS guys "shootout" with the Speed and hearing about the aftermath of that, I feel a true opinion of the Speed is just not possible.
That said, I'm surprised RG hasn't asked you to pull that portion of the video with the Polaris passing the Speed. Maybe he just hasn't seen it yet 🤣
@@FreedomIsntFree2023 to be 100% honest I've spoke with Robby a bunch and never once has he told me what I can or cannot say. From my first videos in 2020 they reached out and said they loved how I talked about the car, I've more technical and have shown proof of my experience, building a race car and racing, different types of riding etc. Robby didn't love the shootout video but everyone benefited from better brakes. I don't know the other channel or what happened but ultimately the truth will come out over hundreds of owners experiences, I'm trying to push our industry forward with high quality content, Motocross industry style analysis because more of the content in our industry is McDonald's and super half assed, IMO. Everyone has $50K cars and this and that, but no one can get a drone? A nice camera to show the cars in SloMo? Hire an editer or a guy that knows how to shoot every once in a while? It's a joke to me.... I don't get any discounts from Speed, what I'm saying is 100% how I feel at the time of each video... Which is probably why all the OEM's love my content. MXA got into it with Honda for a while, but ultimately the MX OEM's all come together for the industry, the Media outlets are solid (and you can tell they actually know how to ride) and the entire community benefits from it. it takes so much time for me to do it my way, but I like to show people I actually drive, I don't care if people think I'm slow, etc but I'm putting out what I think is missing in our industry, and compromising info about Speed or anything just isnt that....
I was very happy with my LP4s on my race mirrors. No need for a bar up top!

I was able to see a Speed car up close at Camp RZR and they do look amazing. Could definitely use a better power plant it seems. Hopefully the Speed key helps. My Turbo R with a 93 octane tune hit 76mph down the drags and 52mph up Olds.

You can get more speed with the turbo r tuned than the pro r, but if you put a turbo on the pro r it is unstopable 🔥

I walked away from a speed through the whoops. Although the car itself (speed) looked like it handled well. It was easy to just pull away. I'm sure he wasnt using the speed key. But with the normal key. It's easy to pull on the speed.
Speed is closer to a turbo s on a good day they are just trying to not show it

So many variables! To be realistic!!! Wheel spin from more power can be the culprit!! I really doubt any production car can out run or handle the speed utv apples to apples!!
I agree and the "haters/ skeptics" don't seem to want to talk about suspension and handling, which is most important IMO
I would like to know about those LP4 mirrors. Light up the corners well?
Brightest combo you can get on a set of mirrors, we also make a mount for XL80's, which make similar Lumens (about 18,000) but with a different light pattern. You can easily lead night rides in the dunes with just these lights, we sold a ton of LP4's at the Sand Show, people love them... light bars (up top) are becoming less popular as well...
...i wish speed comes soon with a big cc motor too!! ;-)

Let me just say I am not surprised that you’re getting people trying to copy your designs, my buddy bought a set of your Cuero race mirrors for his PRO R and I was shocked at the level of quality you can really tell when you hold them in your hands and how stout they are when they are mounted to the cage anyways I liked them so much that I ordered a set the next day and got to enjoy them all last weekend out at the river 👍🏻
If only the speed was as fast as it looks. I’m sure it’s killer in the dez but as for shooting hills in glamis it’s so underpowered.
I don’t even think the speed key will be enough. It’ll probably be as fast as a stock Pro R
That’s if they ever get the speed key it just keeps getting pushed back more and more and it’ll have more issues with more power. More broken axles belts drive shaft front diff another motor and so on
Hang tight... We have stuff coming, the car isnt ready now, but that's not to say it will not be hauling ass very soon.... The bones are the best, just needs some juice
I love the Garmin Baja over the Lowrance GPS
That's what I've heard and what I bought for the Speed
It integrates phone, anything Bluetooth, and satellite imagery is free just need to pick the areas you want. I also play music through it into my headsets great investment. The Lowrance is nice but it doesn’t have near the amenities the Garmin does.

What makes you like the speed utv so much? It just seems to have a lot of issues haven’t you broke a axle front diff and drive shaft and blown motor! Is it the suspension or chassis that makes you like it so much or both?
They do seem to be up the speeds ass and downplay the issues. Prob afraid of Robby or something.

No blown motor, yes an axle pulled out in Baja.... also in Baja, an upgraded Sandcraft ball joint failed on a RZR. If you like suspension and handling this car is the top of the food chain, most of you haven't experienced something that works this good, it's better than my old race car.... Yes I've had issues and will probably have more, its brand new and we are all figuring it out together. I like trying new things, and this car has a lot of promise. I could always sell and buy anything else but the wheelbase is perfect, seats are awesome, suspension and handling are next level... and if the Speed Key is reliable that it will have plenty of punch....
@@ChupacabraOffroad I have no doubt your assessment of the suspension is spot on and I’m certain it is next level. As a consumer who watches these reviews partly to get info on what to purchase, I want to know the real life owners experience. We wouldn’t have direct communication to speed to fix issues right away. They seem to have more than most of the new machines available now and there have been a few you tubers who get “threatened” or insulted by speed when they highlight the issues or downfalls of the speed car. Speeds actions with the media give us, or at least me, a skeptical reaction to your review even if you really are being 100% unbiased. Brand new RZR’s and can ams break too, and have their own shortfalls but they’re much easier to have fixed and no content creator have issues calling them out because they’re aren’t going to be sued by the manufacturer.
how does it feel wearing your glasses with the helmet? mine is way too tight around the ears when wearing glasses almost impossible to?

when i see the speed utv against the can am pro r i see something someone put together in their garage nothing wrong with that. against something truly unbelievable out of this world.

I rode in one in superstition yesterday and I can say is Speed car is off the charts no comparison imo. Not sure why some folks are talking down on it . Yes on the highway other cars will win but let’s face it driving threw the desert in a variety of trails it was keeping up and or dominating lots of the top shelf cars . Maybe I’m a slow driver 🤷🏻♂️ let me ask what is all of your average speed in the dunes and on mixed desert riding?

Coyne Powersports has a few, I just met a guy in El Centro that bought one (Ask for Chip Corfman). I agree with you, the suspension and handling are the top of the food chain, the biggest weakness of the Pro R (IMO) is the high CG and that track change, you notice it in the rough stuff. Both are awesome.
A lot of these youtube channels talk about power, IDK I'm a dirt biker, and power is only part of the equation, skill is far more important. One of the fastest dune rides I've ever dune ("Chasing Sandrails" on this channel) had a guy in a XP1000 without paddles, he kept up the whole time and we were cooking, turns out the guy can drive. Sometimes being underpowered can be fun, but I geek out on suspension and handling.... Average speed in the big dunes behind olds in 40-55, and for most of the other stuff it's 25-45 I'd say. Big groups end up being slower, our fastest rides are 4-5 cars that can all hang and then we can push. My Speed feels very close to a Turbo S right now, so the Speed Key should make it punchy and fun, I want more low end bark
Appreciate your input. Like you I feel suspension on my cars is key. I’ll be heading to Coyne in a couple of days. I’ll post pictures hopefully all works out I’m buying one. Speed is the Cadillac of the desert from what I witnessed. Have lots of fun on yours stay safe and hopefully we can do a run sometime. 👍🏼

Did you remove entire stock wrap and replaced with half wrap? Meaning the front is the bare color

Do you have the SPEED key? And when you went up Oldsmobile hill at 5:00 was that full speed?
No Speed key and up Olds I was at about 39mph at the top with 4 people, I'd say it's super close with a Turbo S.
@@ChupacabraOffroad what is the deal with the Speed key? Why do you need a special key to get the full potential of the motor? Seems like a very odd situation, to put a governor on the motor unless you have a special key. Makes me question the durability of the motor.

Im the one lying? A lot of people have talked about it overheating and yours was but isn’t now. What did you fix on yours? A lot of customers have talked about the overheating issue recently while they were in sand hollow
@@robholly-jd3ni I wasn't aware of overheating, my car has been warm, and I think to be specific, the overheating is due to the windshield, which was mentioned many times by Speed and in my videos, above 75 degrees it will not work...

Bro....i own a very unique fitness brand and i get my products knocked off ALL THE TIME. Ive spawned entirely new product categories on Amazon. Theres nothing more infuriating than working on a product for 9 months and a year after launch, 10 knockoffs hit the market. It happens to me every time i create a new product. Absolute "dirt bags". One of my products I essentially invented the damn thing, and now i have a bunch of Chinese competitors because its not really protectable. I absolutely feel your anger, man. Ive had to watch people copy every detail of my sh!t, down to colors and patterns
