Kirui's death is not in vain. Interest in mountaineering just shot up in Kenya.
Me noway life is already challenging enuf nature doesn’t forgive silly mistakes.
Kirui has reminded us of the mountains. Outward bound sounds very familiar. Don't blame them for mutating to foreigner service. 1997 -I think it was that year-did Lenana managed by Outward Bound with a group of German physicists as I couldn't convince Kenyan mates to commit. Was in makeshift clothing, no camera (at least the Germans sent me some pics to show I hit my peak). Mobile phones were only for elite and even those huge things I doubt had the modern cameras etc The guides and porters made it fun; those guys are priceless.

Don't say you are afraid just try it leaving fears away I would love to be a climber but I can't manage the climb and the cold the only way I would like to climb is

Cheruiyot Kirui's body will forever lay at the crevasse on Mt. Everest, that place is deep.

I know KG very well. He worked with my hubby climbing the mountains many times and he loves it

I’ve climbed Mt. Kenya and Kilimanjaro and almost all the other mountains in Kenya and abadare hills , some in kajiado and machakos.. fun times in life indeed!!

KG is actually the second Kenyan up Mt. Everest, but the first black Kenyan up Mt. Everest. The first Kenyan up Mt. Everest is Sam Taylor, who did it to raise funds for Rangers, three years ago.

No chopper can reach that point the altitude won't allow
