There needs to be more shows like this. I'm a truck driver from Montreal, I was in New Mexico a couple weeks ago and they had a hockey game on tv at the truck stop, I stood there in the lounge for 2 hours and I got into that game and it wasn't even any team I liked, all along I had people come up to me and watch with me and asked me questions about the rules and such. At the end of the game, there was at least 20 people watching that game, most of them had never seen a hockey game before. It has EVERYTHING americans love about sports; competition, speed, precision, fighting, brutal checks, finesse and non-stop action for 3 hours straight.
I lived in New Mexico, and I can honestly say that if the NHL put a team there, they'd have one of the hottest markets. And I mean that almost every game will be a sell out
More Americans would love hockey if it made itself more known in places where it isn’t. It definitely is a sport us Americans would enjoy more if more knew about it or understood it. I only started watching hockey because my 5th grade teacher had a caps poster in her class.

I moved to Florida 10 years ago and I told people hockey was awesome and they said no thanks. Those same people now watch all the time and I let them find out on their own

The greatest thing about the NHL is you get a boxing match and then they get less break time (5 minutes for fighting) than actual boxers get when the round is over and then they still have to still play hockey.
i didnt grow up with a Pro team until a couple years ago but going to the sabers game the the thunderbirds games was always a blast . But now since we got the Kraken , im still a Pens Fan. Have been since i was a 6 year old.
Wow for my team literally all of our games are on Bally sports and only one game airs on ESPN+ a month. I’d much rather my teams games aired on ESPN+ than Bally Sports

No real hockey fan would listen to him try to dissect a game. What I like about Pat is he stays in his lane. Too many bozos out there talking sports that have never played at high level, many cases don’t even know what they are talking about (like Pat for hockey) and embarass themselves and the sport.
Only 9 goalies have actually shot the puck into the other net (and Hextall did it twice). The other goalies with credit for a goal are because they were the last to touch the puck then the other team scored an own goal.
The NHL should pay Pat 50 million dollars MINIMUM for this segment per year. He’s done more for the sport than anyone in the league just by giving us exposure

Welcome brother, I'm from Saskatchewan and it's a right of passage to play hockey, there are a LOT of outdoor rinks that the city maintains when it's cold enough to make ice and they have warm up shacks with a furnace.
I played hockey my whole life and my 5 foot nothing, quiet mom, would be trash talking like one of the boys during our games. Its just an insanely awesome sport.
I love this segment. Jomboy Media does a Floorball tournament once a year (not hockey but a hockey-like sport) and Spittin Chicklits do a ball hockey tournament. Would be cool to see this show get some IRL fan engagement with the sport itself if the segment continues.

Hockey is awesome. Been playing since I was 4, now 35, and it's a way of life here in Buffalo. Nothing like playing a weeknight game at 10:45pm, crushing some Molson Canadian in the locker room after, and going into work all banged up the next day.
The puck to the head may have fixed Rob Ray, he made no speaking mistakes after that happened. Some might say it broke him because his speech mistakes could inspire a drinking game that would put the crowd under the table by the end of the second period, LOL. JK Rob everybody loves you. Pat...you have to give some coverage of a great hockey documentary that the Buffalo Sabres just put out on RUclips 3 weeks ago on Rob Ray and Tie Domi called "Ray v Domi Beyond Blue and Gold Buffalo Sabres". I've never been Leafs or Sabres fan nor really much of a Ray or Domi fan either...but man this documentary will really make you appreciate these two monsters and the job they had to do day in and day out.
This feels like a big year in hockey for sure, its the only sport to me that doesn't feel overly soft or fake sometimes. Some bad ref calls and some off days for teams but you get to see it all. However it feels like the NHL network is really trying to strangle hold it. It can sometimes be impossible to watch your home team due to blackouts and paying for different streaming services which you also may not have access to. Sometime last year they mostly broke VPN use as that would allow you to bypass a regional blackout easily. Like cmon, I can't watch my own home team on my TV paying for a service that SAYS I can watch it. They want you to pay for tickets but that's not the way to coax anyone. Either you save money and plan to go to a game or you don't, or you don't have to worry about money in which case none of those problems apply and you probably don't care.
