This little bit of history has a special place in my memory as back around 1983 or 84 (when I was 3-4 years old) I got one of these, an atari 2600 & one of those little mini arcade ms. pacman games from my dad.... little did he know that over 30 years later I would only be playing video games even more than I did back then. Also, if my memory from way back then is still accurate, the microvision I was given, had the spaces for 2 9v batteries in the back, but only one of the pair had connectors and the other spot was effectively a storage space for a 2nd 9v (wikipedia confirms that there are versions that require 1 or 2 9v batteries depending on processor) Damn, I wish I knew what happened to my those 3 things, but the oldest thing I still have is an original nes from its american launch. Anyways, thanks for giving me a giant goofy nostalgia grin guys.
Bought one CIB with a complete library of games, also CIB, for €40 about 2 years ago. Nobody seemed to care at the time :-D Cool system, but they all suffer from screen rot eventually and aftermarket replacement screens seem extremely unlikely to ever happen. Your screen seems to be in top condition. Enjoy!
They must have been more common in the UK, and Europe, as I've never seen one in person here in the US, and when they do show up on eBay they are always way above my budget lol!
I love the look at 4:10, like a kid discovering a new toy Wouldn't mind picking one of these up, impossible to find in the wild unfortunately Also, those Mr Perfect promo vids were amazing. Basically Dude Perfect before dude perfect and intentionally douchey
I grew up with the 2600 and have no problem with you calling it the 2600 because I actually forgot that the 2600 wasn't called that until later. I don't always remember what I had for breakfast. Yes, it was orginally called the Atari Video Computer System and there was also the Sears Tele-Games (Silver plate around the switches).
People get more annoyed with my pronunciation of it rather than anything else. Alot of pedantic arseholes on youtube with nothing better to do with their time haha. They want me to say twenty six hundred, rather than two six hundred. I think if any name was to be correct it would probably be two thousand six hundred.
I didn't even realize you were saying it that way. It still doesn't matter. I know what you mean, and I don't know what might be view as proper within different groups. I'm kinda on my own so I hear all of the variations in different RUclips videos, not from anyone I know personally. To me, saying SNES as a word instead of saying the letters sounds weird to me, but I've heard others do it.
you got the german one in the vid. I am old and realy remember this. want my parents to buy me one for xmas as i was 5 or so. and what do i get: f.....g Senso... german Swear: verdammter Mist!
Robo Blue Yes that Is the first Pokemon game I have given up after just a few hours. What is all that dialogue and explaining about, with no skip options. It's the 7th generation in the series, hugely obnoxious and dismissive to players like myself who have been supporting the franchise for 20 years.
Bowel is not pronounced the same way as Bowl. Theyre two different words with two different sounds. You'd think the motherland of English could actually speak it.
UPDATE: I have now purchased my own boxed Microvision and an array of games. Let the fun commence! Yeaaaaaahhhhh
UPDATE: I seem to have lost my boxed Microvision, It was here when TopHat came over, but I can't seem to find it anywhere now.
Should have seen that coming, Larry! He IS a wrestling politician!
I have just not found one at a good price yet, whenever I see them up for sale, people want to much.

I love the format of your videos, extra credit for the intro and outro too. I'm not a gamer, but find your videos very entertaining. Thank you.
besides being British I would not bet money on this duo.... I ain't mad this is awesome

its nice and girthy, so when it eventually fails, I am sure it will make a spiffing door stop!
Interesting Handheld device there. Might look out for one next time I visit Baseo which is a store that sells retro games & consoles.
On the left, Larry is excited... on the right, the THGM is... why am I working with this guy again?
Ha mad, was reading an article about it last night and your vid popped up, ideal. The shape of it is amazing :-)
Hey! The Coleco Alien Attack was launched in 1979 too.
But wich one was truly first? Isnt there ANY handheld games in 1978 or before???
Ah the well known SuperBAWL.
Top video as always :)

Imagine if someone made an unofficial demake of Pokemon for the Microvision. Complete with a link cable port attached to it.
"Boweling... like the Super Boweling"

The Microvision certainly had promise.
It actually looks like fun! Too bad it's a bit expensive now.
I think Star Trek was the only licensed game for Microvision, but I think it got renamed at some point.
Uhh I don't recall moving ships being in the ruleset for Battleships there Larry!
Das Computer Spiel System is ZAYER GUT!!!
Great vid!
How many ads on your channel????

I remember walking by one of these at a garage sale, in "working" condition.
Should I have bought it, or are these not that rare?
They're stating to go up in price, £50 is the average price on eBay for one now.
Larry Bundy Jr Ok, Thank you!
Drinking Game: Take a shot every time you hear the word "bloody".You ll be wasted 😂
good show Chaps!
I sat down to play Pokemon Moon the other day, and had to sit through a literal hour of dialog before getting to the first Pokecenter. :|

Nice...
I'll stick to my game boy color
You honestly do not know what you are missing. The Microvision reminds me of driving a classic car.
Top Hat Gaming Man I'm all for classic games but this is a bit primitive for me but if I ever get the chance I would most certainly try it
By classic car you mean a Lada?
I was thinking more a Skoda or a Robin Reliant.
Oh a reliant Robin great choice!!!
Yeaaah
bruh. u misspelled the thumbnail
Pinbowl

your solo vids are better.
Retro Game Blog I would hope so! Those ones take time and effort.
