Gary Moore is the best guitarist. This was a big Fender Anniversary Celebration that they asked Gary perform at.
That was Jimi Hendrix's actual renowned red Fender guitar he was playing.
Gary Moore started out playing with Skid Row, Thin Lizzy, BBM, Coliseum. He's played in all kinds of genres, hard rock, heavy metal, rock, jazz fusion, blues & blues rock. He was born in Ireland & Thin Lizzy was an Irish rock band which included Phil Lynott. Gary finally went out on his own & was Europe's Stevie Ray Vaughan.
BTW, he was the ONLY performer at the Fender Celebration to receive a standing ovation.
    Check out his other music:
"Still Got the Blues"- Montreax 1990
    "The Loner"
"The Messiah will Come Again"-Montreax 1990 -The fretwork is amazing & up close camera work.
Greatest guitarist & songwriter extraordinaire. He plays with the fire & passion it takes to be a great! His faces he makes are a product of that passion.
He died in 2011 of a heart attack.

Just found this video. Great that you guy are listening to it. The performance was in 2004 at Wembley arena as part of the 50th anniversary of the Fender Stratocaster. They had David Gilmour, Amy Winehouse, Brian May, Paul Rodgers, Joe Walsh. And Jimi Hendrix died in 1970. He was part of the '27' club along with Amy Winehouse, Jim Morrison and Kurt Cobain who died too young

Moore was a quantum leap over Hendrix--artistically and technically. Hendrix, Van Halen, et al. were one trick ponies. Meaning--they could only play in one style. Moore mastered rock, fusion, jazz, heavy metal, blues, etc. If you don't believe me, watch Moore's live rendition of 'Separate Ways.'

Hey guys, ummm, it's in stereo. Sharing the headset is only giving each of you half of the mix, left channel has things not in the right channel and vice versa! So you're not even hearing all of the song. Just sayin'.

The loner live in Stockholm 1984, the messiah will come again 1990 Montreux or still got the blues 1990 live at Hammersmith or seperate ways from blues Alive in London i believe in 1992 if these dont blow you away then nothing will. No artist plays with speed and passion as he does and look how much he adjust the volume all the time, he knows exactly where the sustain is gonna be... He plays with melodic passion and only 10 sec. Burst and bring it back down..In my opinion one of the greatest guitar player who ever lived, he mastered all genres.

I love Gary, especially is rock periode (mid 80s) but to me this is the most cliché version of this song. Jimi's version from Randall's island, San Diego and Royal Albert Hall are the ultimate versions and all completely different as well. Jimi is the real deal.
