Finally!! I got some nice aero bikes again!!! I have a ton more models of them and are going to comparing them to different bicycles as well to show off the differences, hopefully you guys enjoy this video!!! soon will be scott addict rc 10 and then geometry sizing!!!
I have a 2021 Addict RC 30, according to Scott I should have a size L (56, I'm 179cm). I've bought the size M (54) which already feels quite large compared to the size 54 Allez Sprint I had before that. On the Scott colors: they always look super dull on the website, but are crazy good looking in real life. Scott (and higher end Specialized bikes) have the best colors imo.
It really surprises me that so many aero bikes come with wide handlebars. I think most people would be just as comfortable with handlebars 2-4cm narrower. I'm 6 feet tall and was hesitant to go with a 38cm handlebar (36.5 at the hoods), but it's actually more comfortable for me and much more aero than the 42cm bars I had on there before. It's a much bigger deal these days since you'd often have to buy an expensive 1-piece handlebar/stem - not just a handlebar like on this bike.
What does your shoulders measure in cm? I'm 40 cm and looking to put 40 cm wide handlebar on a Foil RC 20 I'm looking to buy. Stock handlebar is 44 cm in a size L I think.
Yeaaaa GC! Love the Scott content! Bike looks good overall but def looking forward to the higher end trims of the Addict RC & Foils! Great work as always, Keep them coming!
@@nokia6800 yeah but even further there’s more carbon to layout so to keep the weight down they would have had to go with the lighter HMX anyway. They’ve also oddly narrowed the steerer tube down to 1” from 1 1/18”, yet made the head tube beefier supposedly to make it more aero. Having such a narrow tube would introduce more flex out of saddle 🤔
My size 54 Scott Foil felt smaller than my size 54 Scott Addict. I even shortened the stem and it still feels a bit longer than the Foil I had. The front is also taller feeling even after cutting the fork tube , probably going to cut it slightly more as well.
Shame that Scott doesn't give a fully integrated carbon cockpit on the RC20 anymore, raised the price, and ballooned the geometry. I am a shorter rider and ride a 2022 Foil RC and take a 49cm but also could fit onto a 47cm, but with the current gen I literally can't clear even a XXS 47cm TT. My biggest problem with the Rc20 with it be this gen or last is the fact that the wheelset is pretty darn heavy. The Syncros Capital 1.0 wheelset is the definition of mediocre since they don't spin up fast nor maintain speed well and are pretty heavy at 1640g. Pair that with the fact that they use traditional tubes with some heavy and middling tires. The first thing I changed were the wheels withy some Hunt 44 UD Carbon Spoke Discs and then too some 2023 Winspace Hyper D45 Discs w/ latex tubes and GP5000 28mm tires. For me loosing about a 1lb of rotational weight but also switching to a much more dynamic wheelset totally changed the feel of the bike, otherwise the bike stock was kind of blah. If you don't want to drop that much to loose weight going for a carbon saddle like to Prime Primavera Carbon Saddle, swapping the Rival crankset and cassette to Force/Red will help out. Personally I could not get comfortable on the Belcarra saddle and for me the narrower saddle made more sense.
lol previous model cost 6300 for a full carbon bike (STEM+HANDLEBAR CARBON combo + Carbon wheels + Carbon Frame + Carbon Seatpost). Also comes with the same Sram Rival AXS + Crank Powermeter. We’re going backwards lol…. PS nice review tho!
Thanks so much, the next video I got will be the rc 10 and that bike is a better deal, retail is 7000 usd and also it comes with 12 speed ultegra and carbon bar, which usualy everyone with ultegra 12 speed is 8k minimum
With complete bikes, there are so many and enormous additional costs and work if you want to adapt it to your needs, geometry, wishes and to reduce weight. The integrated cockpit is nice, but the handlebar is usually too wide. To change the handlebar, you have to shorten the hydraulic cables (on the new bike) because they are routed through the handlebar. You get some mid-range heavy whells, a heavy crankset, a cassette with a gear ratio that doesn't suit you, a stem that's usually too long, a seat that doesn't suit you, heavy rotors, not tuneless tires...! You can easily invest the next 4-5k usd (eur) in this bike. In the end, it's really almost more worthwhile to buy a bike frame and upgrade it yourself with parts that suit you.
makes sense, I understand what you are talking about but this bike would also suit someone right out of the box, the stem is longger to compensate for for the shorter top tueb
I had a 2022 Scott addict RC and according to their size chart I should be a 58/XL (im 188cm/6'2) and it felt too long. Sadly ended up selling it. Hopefully will pick up another Scott one day in a 56 assuming their sizing is what it currently is.
Awesome bike & video! I noticed there are cable openings in the handlebar because this is not a one-piece stem and bar combo. How do Scott keep water out of that handlebar when it’s raining? Or when giving it a good wash with the garden hose?
I love the look of the new foil. It’s one of those “looks fast standing still” and the geometry isn’t crazy aggressive. But there’s no way I’m not mentioning the weight! That’s ridiculous for $6300. Question, what would it weigh with a set of Hyper D67?
lmao I film at a shut down dry cleaner that has been vacant for 2 years now, there is no reason for traffic to be going in and out of there only to skip if the bridge is up and they want to cut through to turn
Great review as always. What do you think of the new stem/handle bar with semi-hidden cables comparing to the 2022 FOIL RC Y-shape handle bar which is cable fully integrated? I wonder why they change it?
@GCPerformance18 I own this bike and I love it, I recently hit a pothole at around 35-40mph and was thrown off the bike. I didn't see what happened to the bike cause I was more paying attention to myself sliding down the road, but I can say I completely crunched my Enve Foundation 65, my handlebars got twisted and bent out of shape and my saddle also got hit pretty hard too. Surprisingly there isn't a single scratch on the frame and everything about it seems strong (I haven't ridden it, just squeezing and pushing/pulling). Once I get my new wheel and handlebars what do I ask my bike shop to look into to make sure it's still safe to ride?
I would just have your local shop take a look at it, it is very hard to see the internals of it but if they deem it okay to ride then its your call only real way would be to take it to a carbon guy but he might not give you the answer ur looking for
GC ,,I m obsessed with your this video,,i dont know how many times i watched it,,and i keep on it,its not available in india,i want this bike, the color and frame is like cocaine 👌👌👌👌❤️❤️❤️
I love how good these new aero bikes look, scott foil, trek madone, cervelo s5 etc, but sorry i'm gonna be critiquing the weight, even with dura ace, they are so damn heavy... my pinarello dogma f12 with DA and DT wheels = 7.5 kg, my cannondale supersix evo hm rim brake with red axs 2x= 6.1kg...
Have you got a look at the purple Foil that's coming out in 2024 by any chance? It looks so boring, I'm just wondering if it's one of those bikes that you need to see in person...because from what I've seen, it looks nowhere near as good as all of the 2023 colours...not even close.
repeat after me: [SCH-VAL-BEH] All in all bike looks great. I'd love one with shimano cranks and bb. Are 12 speed sram and shimano cranks cross-compatible?
I reckon the teeth of SRAM 12-speed gearing (chainrings, pulley wheels and cassettes) are spaced apart a little further due to the slightly larger chain rollers on their Flattop chains.

(New) Giant Propel..?

@@janb4406 actually, I think it's ok to go narrower - it's usually even more comfortable, then wider.
that colour is underrated!!! im going to save up for this for next summer! thanks for the wonderful video and making my mind up man!
yea they made a god job with it
Nice. I'"m buying the big brother. The Foil RC 10 for 6.500 Euros. It's a nice bike minus the crazy price.
I prefer how the sl7 or aethos look
I would do the Foil 30 at $4799 with Di2 105... I'd do that over the Madone Di2 105 at $8k.. Add wheels later.
Thank you for this review. It helped me pull the trigger on this machine.
You’re very welcome!!
Yeaaaa GC! Love the Scott content! Bike looks good overall but def looking forward to the higher end trims of the Addict RC & Foils! Great work as always, Keep them coming!
I like that seat post design. Above the clamping area so no creaks.
25mm front, 28mm rear on this bike. Wish they didn’t cheap out with the aluminum stem, previous foil all came with a full carbon cockpit.
This does come with their top tier carbon where the old on came with their second tier carbon so I guess that's the trade off
@@nokia6800 yeah but even further there’s more carbon to layout so to keep the weight down they would have had to go with the lighter HMX anyway. no, the ultimate frame comes with "HMX SL" and all the other ones are HMX
no, the ultimate frame comes with "HMX SL" and all the other ones are HMX
I was just thinking about that and you said it xD Full-on TT aero craziness in a drop bar road bike!!! Love it! Please more brands do this! Yes! Thx!
just put aero bars on this thing and this bike is super nice
The orbea aero probably falls into the same category too. Almost a TT bike, just that just that it has a drop bar instead
Beautiful, but so hefty. This paintjob looks much better than I expected. My cube litening with hypers and pedals weighs 7,7kg. It cost just 5000€.
Nice bike, love the colour and the overall. I wish they'd line up all those tubes tho, feels like every tube is in business for itself :)
My size 54 Scott Foil felt smaller than my size 54 Scott Addict. I even shortened the stem and it still feels a bit longer than the Foil I had. The front is also taller feeling even after cutting the fork tube , probably going to cut it slightly more as well.
video coming soon between the two
@@GCPerformance18 Awesome
This bike is absolutely amazing. I've preordered RC 10 even before pricing were announced. Only problem estimated delivery is next April...
I have a bunch of them on hand, I have a video coming out tomorrow, if you need one let me know :) and I hope you enjoy the video
More on the sizing please. I have 56 foil 22’. Ordered a foil 23 in a 54, stand over is higher, reach is the same.
I will make a video on this very soon side by side and all

I will do the video between last years and this year
a top spec could be in the 16lb's which isnt bad
Do you have the new Foil 10 (Di2 spec) that you can do the video on as well? Probably a good pound lighter than the Rival! That would be awesome.
Yes I have it coming very soon
@@GCPerformance18 nice !!
The fork looks like it was taken for a Madone. The rear end looks Cervelo and the center of the frame looks like the old venge from 2016
yea it looks like a mixture of alot of bikes
Looks Heavy.
18pounds Without bottle cages, pedals, & GPS mount is heavy.
멋진 디자인입니다.
밖으로 나가고 싶은디자인입니다.
Yes please ride it and let us know
YYYYEEEESSSSSS!!!! 🚀🚀🚀🚀 Damn my dream bike right there. Send it my way please!
I heard the bottom bracket is cheaply constructed-- threaded? press fit?
press fit and this is not true I have sold a ton of these with no issues

Good point!
Looks hot! This would be a good one for Velobuild to copy :)
hahahahha
Hi GC performance
What a good looking bike in a great colour too.
Top video as always 👍🚴♂️👍🚴♂️👍🚴♂️
Those hoods seem very sloppy and not tight against the bartape..? Is this common with all SRAM?
For the sram rival. Yes it is. I don’t know why the rubber flares like this but that’s how it looks
Reach and stack are same as on previous model, so it should feel the same.
top tube is much taller on this bike, it jsut feels weird for stand over, justr feels like a tall bike
looks like hybrid of cervelo and 3T
What is your strava name?
grant cordery
Do you think that 2023 Addict RC15 has the same color as this? I love it totally!
yea I do, very simialt
So this bike is in your shop? I love love love this bike. I want this bike. I'm coming to Florida!
yes I have a ton of foild right nwo for sale
@@GCPerformance18 you ride it yet?
Looking online at the Scott site. Are the prices correct? Addict 105 di2 is listed for only $3600.
yes but that is not the addict rc 30
Unbelievable low price for that level of endurance bike. Lowest price of any major brand by a lot
my question is why u filming on the entrance to the area with cars passing by u
lmao I film at a shut down dry cleaner that has been vacant for 2 years now, there is no reason for traffic to be going in and out of there only to skip if the bridge is up and they want to cut through to turn

hahaha, we got addicts but no foil 30s yet
Is it compatible to put Clip on Aero Bar ?
Great review as always. What do you think of the new stem/handle bar with semi-hidden cables comparing to the 2022 FOIL RC Y-shape handle bar which is cable fully integrated? I wonder why they change it?
Nice video! Can you perhaps do a review on the Felt AR FRD Ultimate Dura-Ace Di2?
I dont have any felt dealers around me I am sorry
Looks soo good! Are you going to do a vid on the new Addict too?
yes I have some too

similar parts off this bike from a whole lot of bikes

I love this color frame it came out so nice
Certainly not the bad looks
Weighs the same as my 1980’s budget spec Colnago.
haha
The stem has an aero disadvantage
Why these expensive bikes weigh so much?
idk these grousp are very expensive for the entry level stuff, the rival and 105 are heavy groups
The fact the seat tube forms an obtuse angles makes the bike look awkward to me. Lovely paint, though
I love this design alot of people are adopting it like cervelo s5 and also bianchi.... not adoptiong it but going to it
Does every integrated stem look like a cheap piece of plastic from an 83 Chevette?
yea I do not knwo why these companies do not make some sick carbon stem that is integrated
This bike makes me "Vertically Stiffer"
The Isoflow on the new Madone might be a "good fit" for you.
hahahha

But but I like taking my sexy aero bike climbing 🥺
But speaking on this bike it’s reasonably priced for the build. I like. Though not nearly as much as I like the Fuji Transonic 2.1 rim brake

it looks really good in person Iwil have more ocming up too
Disc brakes like a car does it have ABS also?🤪🤪
ABS on road bikes will be happening and will be the norm.
they have it for ebikes right now mtb
1kg to heavy
Not carbon stem bars
Shocking
yea one model up they come with carbon bar on there for 7000
Pretty weighty for my taste... I know, its all about aero...
Fair enough!
Not the most aesthetic thing..
Finally? That bike is uglyyyyyy! Be honest GC
I like the look of it alot to be honest, but also I like deep aero foil frames, I am not a fan of round tubes
