SpiderCapo ftw. definitely the cream of the crop. endless capo-bilities. esp with multiple on at a time, or std full/partial capo in combo with the SpiderCapo...the combos are limitless it seems and it inspires a great dea of creativity from me at least that would have otherwise not been sparked if I hadn't bought this awesome little device. highly recommended.
I've found the opposite with my guitars, sounded good on the electric but a bit buzzy on the acoustic. I guess it depends how low the action is.Anyway... thanks for this vid, it made me remember I had one and got me all inspired again, so cheers for that :O)
Is he in standard tuning to begin with? I got the real spider capo and it fits nice on my guitar. I did the exact same setup as him and it's sounds nothing at all like his.
For the past couple of years I had wondered how that worked because I have seen them at guitar center stores and I thought it was a spider when we just had a little plastic stuff sticking out as a decoration and make it look like a spider’s leg but I did not realize that those were to actually set the tuning of the strings just like that. Because I thought the reason for spiders like something heavy metal rock or would use or something. This demonstration I think it’s so cool next time I go to a guitar store I’m gonna look for that capo again. It works on six strings does it also work on a 12 string guitar as well?
I'm sure this comment won't do you much good 2 years later, but for anyone else reading; I'm sure it would work just fine for a 12 string. The strings are so close together I'd imagine it could capo both strings. If I'm wrong I hope someone would correct me.
@@alexanderhanksxI hope this will be working, going to buy a 2 for my 12-string guitar. Two capo, because even one standard capo isn't enough for 12-string. I mean he doesn't have enough clamping force
I've had mine for a couple of months now, though it's not used every day but when I have it on it's on for a while. Screwed up combos. Chord finger shapes can sound poor! I like it but paid $50 for it. Worth maybe $25. So even though it's a little pricey I'd rather a real Spider capo brand than a knock-off for $7.
so the downside would be that you can't fret where you have an open capo set, right? for example, since he is fretting SOME of the strings on the 7th fret with the capo, he is then unable to place his finger down on the 7th fret for the strings that are left open, correct?
+DarkestofTimes Yes, it would be very difficult to use that fret. But you can fret almost every fret above and below the spider capo. I have two so I can set them at different frets.
Сan you give me a link on video lesson with fight. Like in the song "Hero Of War". I can't understand how play this fight) Or give me please link on most popular fight in guitar game), Sorry, but i just can't find skill-video with this fight. Please)
@@davecarsley8773 well, no guidance on how to attach it, how to use it. True I could just crew around with it and hope it doesn't damage my neck, frets, fretboard, and so on. BTW after a few weeks I did get some instructions and I'm not all that impressed. It's okay as a paperweight, but it's nothing I'm ever going to get a lot of use or fun out of
No idea if you figured it out or not but you have the fingers going the wrong way. Might be why you had a problem on your electric holding tuning. Obviously the fingers should be pressing down right behind the fret just like how you play and having the fingers backwards like you do looks like it makes it impossible to play the fret above the capo. Did you even read the instructions?
Great!...one small point..its CAP. O. Not CAPE O ..there is no E after the P so the A is not pronounced as a capital letter...but nice playing there...might get one those myself.
Yes, it is CAP. O. Because it is an Italian word. Capo = head (well, now testa is used more often). I wonder, is it also CAPE.O in Sopranos? Or captain should be capetain? We should not distort Italian words. Besides, you put just a cap on strings, not the whole cape :)

I had this idea as a kid but never thought it would be any good. I WAS WRONG XD
"Cool little invention?" This is LIFE CHANGING!
I get totally list in music experimentation with the spider .Good fun
wondering if anyone knows where i can find tunings and chord charts for the spider capo
fantastic video. Thank You!

Just got mine today!
Looks very cool, might hafta get one
Thanks for the heads up, would be fun to try! A~
I've got one for Christmas today ☺ 🤗 😊
Awesome & Thanks :)
I wonder if there's seven and eight string variants of this thing.
Yep they make a XXL version but it's a little funky with fanned frets but it'll still work
Pretty sure I gotta get one of these now. That looked way too fun

Yeah, his guitar is standard tuned 1/2 step lower. Also he could speak more clearly.
Still he has some interesting things to say.
very similar to my guitar that mate
I am searching for a the best partial capo and this one seems to be the best, any other brands that could be just as good or better?!
Id probably recommend Kyser's partial capo since kyser is such a good brand.

Actually, using spidercapos at adjacent frets(1 fret apart) is commonly done. Not a problem
Hello! You will not prompt, whether there is a 12-string guitar glider capo? Or even just for a 6-string guitar?
Definitely 2 frets apart or more, 1 fret apart would be a squeeze. A regular capo with a spider capo 1 fret higher should definitely work though. A~
