It was wield first by dremora Reive, and then by false Titus Mede II (forgotten hero) in the Battle of the Red Ring, 4E 175. That's probably the explanation why is the Goldbrand not in Skyrim
Skyrim was really lacking cool unique swords. No Goldbrand, no Umbra, no Chrysamere, just boring re-skins of weapons you already have. (Dawnbreaker is pretty cool though.)

Still got a little bit of knights of the nine to do as well as mehrunes razor before I do shivering isles. But yea its been fun getting back into it.
It'd be pretty interesting and clever if instead of giving up one of these items, you could give up the Staff of the Everscamp since that is also an artifact from Sheogorath and its just an annoyance. Like it'd be a unique way to do that quest to get rid of it so you keep the useful items.
Giving away the Mace of Molag Bal was a bit stupid in Oblivion, he seemed like such a pussy, then you play Skyrim and he's a bit overkill then you play ESO and realise he's not to be fucked with...

With the absence of Goldbrand in Skyrim, that must have been the artifact the Hero of Kvatch canonically gave to Martin. Interesting.
The Ring of Khajiti is also gone though. It could be either.
It was wield first by dremora Reive, and then by false Titus Mede II (forgotten hero) in the Battle of the Red Ring, 4E 175. That's probably the explanation why is the Goldbrand not in Skyrim
Not sure about that. Skyrim takes place 200 years later, so it would have probably enough time to return. Boethia probably has tons of items though.
The artifacts eventually reform in their master's realm and cannot be wiped from existence. That's the thing with the daedra.
Skyrim was really lacking cool unique swords. No Goldbrand, no Umbra, no Chrysamere, just boring re-skins of weapons you already have. (Dawnbreaker is pretty cool though.)
