The Germans actually won that clash. They destroyed the Russian strategic reserve, the Steppe Front. They withdrew because Hitler ordered the Panzer Corp in that area to transferred to Italy to meet the Allied landing on Sciliy.

It involves way more aircraft and artillery, but the amount armor we know more archival data is that there was over 5000 tanks at Citadel in total in the Kursk salient, Prokhorovka is included in the Battle of Kursk, its not only Prokhorovka. The amount of armor At Kursk was much greater than Brody. People only try to debunk this but fail so because they only account for one confrontation between the 5th Guards TA and the 4th Panzer Army. They lost their offensive and lost during the Soviet offensive. Apart from all this, the total losses of both sides in prisoners and killed were only slightly lower for Germany, due to the desperate attacks of the Soviet troops to repel the German offensive. How could they "essentially" win if not only did they almost equal the USSR in losses, but they also lost a lot of land and all strategic offensive capability until the end of the war?
This is one of the best CTA GOH: Ostfront Editor battles I've ever watched. Its so Damn Accurate to the real thing. The shear amount of machinery and men on the field would have been Epic, but terrifying to see.

The limitations of the graphic is understandable, but it is amazingly true to the event actually. It really was that level of brutish carnage. And it cost the Germans a lot more than just one battle. This was on par with the Battle of the Bulge for squandering resources they couldn't afford to lose.

мой дед бился в этой битве .подбил 3 танка 2 пазика 3 и 1 пантеру которая потеряла ход подорващий на мине . награжден за эту битву орденом красной звезды и медалью за отвагу .автор ролика не показал рассвет имено на рассвете советская артилерия и авиация нанесла упреждающий удар по района сосредотачения противника . не показал что многии пантеры и тигры подрывались на минах . а чтоб взять ПтОпы .пришлось поднимать авиацию . из 65 укрепрайнов в первой полосе снесли 56. во 2 полосе из 125 снесли 70 . до 3 не дошли . мой дед находился во 2 полосе ему повезло так как перед его позициями был овраг . те кто был в первой полосе почти все погибли . за 3 дня боев из 137 человек в его роте осталось в строю 16 человек . 56 раненых . дед за время боев сменил 3 орудия одно раздили у 2 кончились снаряды . как он говорил это был суший ад . на той земле еще долго не расло ни чего из за разлитого топлива оставшийся мин снарядо и железа . сейчас там памятник и растет пщеница и подсолнухи .Вечная память павщим .

The destruction of Germany's panzer reserves meant that the Russians, from 1943 onward, now controlled the offensive operations to the end. The Blitzkrieg (lightning war) was defeated by a defense in depth, with hundreds of antitank guns, dug in artillery and supported by tanks. Despite the Fourth Panzer Army's best efforts, with the 48th Panzer Korps, 3rd Panzer Corps and the SS panzer divisions they could not break through. You captured the Russian T-34's closing the gap and engaging the Tigers at point blank range and nullified the long range gunnery of German guns. I hope this is not your last great project but it is certainly your best!!

Which amounts to over 18 thousand tanks. You say Battle of Brody had more than 19 divisions total, meanwhile Kursk had whole Tank field armies fighting each other. So yes Kursk is the biggest and largest tank battle in history. What do you mean no? Its also the largest battld in history as well and the deadliest armoured battle.
@@stephenhill545 no it wasnt. Trying to debunk a myth, with a supposed myth. While the Numbers are vague and exaggerated for Prokhorovka it was still a large and more intense battle than Brody. It involves way more aircraft and artillery, but the amount armor we know more archival data is that there was over 5000 tanks at Citadel in total in the Kursk salient, Prokhorovka is included in the Battle of Kursk, its not only Prokhorovka. The amount of armor At Kursk was much greater than Brody. People only try to debunk this but fail so because they only account for one confrontation between the 5th Guards TA and the 4th Panzer Army. But it was more than that. You and @sergeontheloose are both wrong

@@zeddicus456 Germans didn't essentially won, they lost in all aspects, and no amount of lesser losses in men and equipment can change that. They lost their offensive and lost during the Soviet offensive.
Apart from all this, the total losses of both sides in prisoners and killed were only slightly lower for Germany, due to the desperate attacks of the Soviet troops to repel the German offensive.
How could they "essentially" win if not only did they almost equal the USSR in losses, but they also lost a lot of land and all strategic offensive capability until the end of the war?

The limitations of the graphic is understandable, but it is amazingly true to the event actually. It really was that level of brutish carnage. And it cost the Germans a lot more than just one battle. This was on par with the Battle of the Bulge for squandering resources they couldn't afford to lose.

мой дед бился в этой битве .подбил 3 танка 2 пазика 3 и 1 пантеру которая потеряла ход подорващий на мине . награжден за эту битву орденом красной звезды и медалью за отвагу .автор ролика не показал рассвет имено на рассвете советская артилерия и авиация нанесла упреждающий удар по района сосредотачения противника . не показал что многии пантеры и тигры подрывались на минах . а чтоб взять ПтОпы .пришлось поднимать авиацию . из 65 укрепрайнов в первой полосе снесли 56. во 2 полосе из 125 снесли 70 . до 3 не дошли . мой дед находился во 2 полосе ему повезло так как перед его позициями был овраг . те кто был в первой полосе почти все погибли . за 3 дня боев из 137 человек в его роте осталось в строю 16 человек . 56 раненых . дед за время боев сменил 3 орудия одно раздили у 2 кончились снаряды . как он говорил это был суший ад . на той земле еще долго не расло ни чего из за разлитого топлива оставшийся мин снарядо и железа . сейчас там памятник и растет пщеница и подсолнухи .Вечная память павщим .

It's a pity, that this battle is not represented enough in games. And I always wondered, why it is less interesting for western audiences, than battle of Stalingrad. They both are very important for the tide of war and very massive, but Kursk is almost forgotten. Waves of the newest german havy tanks against well-prepared and deep soviet defense with a lot of reserves - isn't it epic?

Well done. You captured Operation Zitadelle (Citadel) perfectly. The "Death ride of the Panzers". The destruction of Germany's panzer reserves meant that the Russians, from 1943 onward, now controlled the offensive operations to the end. The Blitzkrieg (lightning war) was defeated by a defense in depth, with hundreds of antitank guns, dug in artillery and supported by tanks. Despite the Fourth Panzer Army's best efforts, with the 48th Panzer Korps, 3rd Panzer Corps and the SS panzer divisions they could not break through. You captured the Russian T-34's closing the gap and engaging the Tigers at point blank range and nullified the long range gunnery of German guns. I hope this is not your last great project but it is certainly your best!!

My grandfather told me, he was a veteran of the Second World War, I don't remember exactly, but I think he served in the Kantemirovskaya division of the Fourth Guards tank motto.

You want an interesting fact about this battle? The Soviets have turned the entire Kursk Salient into one massive fortress, with the total length of Trenches alone being 4200 kilometers. That is longer distance between Moscow and Lisbon, and they did it in close to three months.

Just a thing I'd point out is about the audio that fizzles often, don't know if it's the actual game audio that sounds like this or if the loudness is exceeding over the 0DB limit, in the latter case, normalize audio & compression will fix it!
Thanks, ZaeN. The game engine cannot handle too many sounds being played so some will go missing and some will be added as after effect to boost the loudness of certain sounds, that go missing during the gameplay. The audio certainly can and will be improved.

I can't say that I didn't like it.
But there is little credibility in the video. So, firstly, most of the Ferdinands were already lost on the first line of Russian defense, since the mining density was very high, and the Ferdinands often strayed from the passages between the minefields and were blown up. Secondly, yes, Soviet tankers on the T-34-76 went en masse against Tigers and Panthers. But these episodes occurred only twice, in different sections of the Kursk salient, and they occurred almost at the very beginning of the German offensive. Since the Soviet command could not oppose anything to the armor of the new German tanks, and the situation was difficult.
Thirdly, the superiority of Soviet aviation was clearly indicated on the Kursk Bulge, which was also supported by Soviet air defenses
