Your content is second to none. I love how you put the time and effort in to do some research when you're recreating an actual historical event. Its obvious you put a lot of time and effort into your videos. You don't just record yourself playing a videogame, do 10 minutes of editing and upload it for some quick views. Just know your true fans appreciate the work you put into your content. Your channel deserves a lot more recogniiton. You're doing it the right way though

My Dad survived 1 1/2 years on the Russian front before his unit was transferred to Normandy after D-day. Dad's ONLY campaign he took part in in France was in the Falaise pocket. He said the pocket was nicknamed "the bonemill" by both sides because everywhere you went there were dead men, dead horses, dead cows, dead chickens and seeing how this battle happened in the heat of the summer, the flies and the stink was horrendous. Dad was captured, along with about 50 other men by the Canadians in a barn that hadn't been hit yet. That started 4 years of being a POW . . but the shooting was over, Thank God. Dad told me that before they got captured, they looked outside the barn once in a while and NEVER counted less than SEVEN Allied ground attack planes at all times bombing and strafing

Well done! The Falaise Pocket would not have happened but for 1. Hitler ordering the bulk of the panzer divisions to attack to the west and 2. His refusal to allow the troops to withdraw. The German troops who managed to escape had no equipment and whole formations wiped off the German Order of Battle. This video captures the fighting so beautifully. Well done Warfare!

I remember Treyarch's Call of Duty 3, their first game in the franchise, covered the Falaise Pocket in its single-player story. It covered the British, American, Canadian, and Polish involvement on the Western front. That was a chapter of WW2 that was never covered in any of my history classes in school, as most history teachers skipped from the Battle of Britain to Normandy, Market Garden, and then the Battle of the Bulge, skipping over many major military actions in between those events. I knew Polish resistance networks were still fighting, but I never knew the Polish still had regular military units in service with the Allies. I remember thinking how cool it was that Poland was still in the fight this late into the war, despite being one of the worst hit nations, having the Germans and Soviets invading back and forth across their territory multiple times throughout the war.

PS. As far far as i recall that road and the few parallel secondary roads as well as the German column was almost 40 kms long...and it was bombed, shelled and strafed to BITS. The only real "close-range engagements" were at the column's rear, where some German units tried to slow the Americans down by trying to "bite& scoot", and at the forward "bottleneck", where Poles and Canadians "plugged" the road, preventing the Germans to escape. BASICALLY - rather than a battle it was the largest BUTCHERY performed by Allied Artillery and strafing planes. Had hitler allowed them to retreat 3 days before this started to unfold it may have never happened (or who knows? - it might have ended the same way - Allied infantry, arty and tanks were completely motorized and faster - the Germans were not and still relied on horses to tow their vast artillery park, but at least their heavy vehicles might have escaped. Another lesson from History - do not arrange your forces in 20-30 kilometers long columns. Apparently the Russians still continue to forget about this.

The Target: Bridges over the river Seine that were an escape route into Belgium for the German forces fleeing the Falaise Pocket. As my dad's B-24 was about to reach the IP, a German mobile AA unit near Mezidon France blew his B-24 apart. My dad and the other pilot were strapped in steel armoured seats in the cockpit. As the stricken B-24 entered a flat spin, the seats and their occupants broke through the flak damaged aircraft. Both men were able to unstrap their seat-belts and open their parachutes. Upon reaching the ground they were captured and spent the rest of the war in Stalag Luft 1. The rest of the B-24 crew perished

Loved the video @Warfare Gaming! Can't wait for the next video man! I have an Interesting Idea for an Ultimate Epic Battle Simulator 2 video. Not sure how well this would work out in the games current state but it might still be worth a try.
It is kinda based on the Battle of Alnus Hill from the Anime TV Series "GATE - Thus the JSDF Fought There", So be warned.
After the Horrendous Battle the French Grande Armée had, they are now on a Defensive Retreat and Set Camp by a Nearby Desert Village. Out of an Entire Division of 10,000 Men, Only 3,000 Remained from being Countered by, as one Soldier would say, "Muskets that can Fire Lightning Bolts". A Company of 140 Men had set up camp in a Small Nearby Village with Several Prisoners that they had brought back for Interrogation with Likely Intent on Selling them off as Slaves when any and All Information they needed. The men were set up in Defensive Positions along the City and had just gotten the Night Shift ready when out of nowhere, a Bright Blinding Light Shines as if Dawn had Appeared. These are in fact Star Shells and the Enemy Forces fired them in order to spot targets for what was next. Bright Flashes of light can be seen on the Horizon with a Low Rumble like a Thunderstorm can be heard only for the Area to break out into an Unearthly Crescendo of Modern American Artillery. Soon the Sounds of Steel Beasts and Birds fill the sky as M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tanks, M2A3 and M3A2 Bradley Infantry and Cavalry Fighting Vehicles, UH-60 Blackhawk and CH-47D Chinook Helicopters and Humvee's Move in amongst the dark with Infantry alongside them. The American Army Sent A Task Force with an Infantry Regiment of about 1,600 Men supported by a Tank Company of 14 M1A2 Abrams Main Battle Tanks and 8 M3A2 Bradley Cavalry Fighting Vehicles, an Airborne Company of about 170 Men and Several UH-60 Blackhawk and CH-47D Chinook Helicopters and a Battery of 4 M777 155mm Howitzers another of 6 M109 Paladin 155mm Self-Propelled Artillery, with Plenty of M2A3 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicles to transport and Further Support them.
Hope you like the Idea man, spent about an hour typing this up!

The closing of the Falaise - Argentan Gap was by First Canadian Army, which included Canadian II Corps and British XXX Corps and the Polish Armoured Division.
It wasn't a British operation. Second British Army was holding the northern shoulder of the pocket, while US 12th Army Group pressed in from the west and south.

We have History Channel recreations like Greatest Tank Battles and Dogfights. But Very Little 'good' recreations of land battles. If you continue to make videos like this , maybe you can start with the words Falaise Gap in your descriotion...so it can be seen in the ' library of Falaise battle videos ' that pop up on RUclips. The same with any other battle you recreate. The war historian community ( like me for over 50 years ) is dyin to see stuff like this. ( I tried to recreate battles using tanks and vehicles on il-2 1946 Sturmovik , but I cannot get the control over objects like you did here ).
Thank you for your time and effort

One thing I must say , germans fought very bravely despite knowing that their chances of escape were none still they fought till their last breath. This is why i love Germans in WW2 . If Hitler didn't open the eastern front against the Soviet union then it was an up hill task for USA & Britain & western countries to defeat Germany . Well 80 % of the German Armed forces were faced by Soviet Union & only 20 % were faced by Western countries . If Western countries had to face 100 % full fledged battled hard Germans then this war could have been continued after 1945 .
