Both are great! I still prefer the p4 though if im just carrying the tool via the clip. Its nice to have all the basic drivers on the tool without having to carry the bit kits. Great video!
After a few years of Victorinox Spirit, I deliberately decided against the Arc and for the P4 because I think that except for the large file compared to the small file on the P4 (wich works and you lose the serrated blade. ) and a few changes, are there no significant differences. The awl works on the P4, is longer, not so conical, has a whole and the small screwdriver on top was already used on my daughter's toy. In my opinion better. If you want to use the Leatherman bits, all you have to do is put an adapter (aliexpress) on the Phillips, then this advantage of the Arc is no longer available. And I placed the missing microdriver in the frame under the scissors with a suitable adapter (etsy) and a magnet. Then only the Magnacut blade remains. Since I usually carry a folder and the blade on the P4 doesn't cut any worse, this is also of no interest to me. I think the P4 is better than its reputation and doesn't have to hide behind the arc.
Missing serrated blade looks like big omission. I believe you can do more witn P4 faster then you can do with Arc. Wish the serrated blade stayed. I thougt I will jump immediatelly, but on 2nd thought …. not as straightforward decision as I expected. That wiggly holder call for problems and loosing bits. Will stay with P4 with Charge+ as backup for now.
Thanks for the video. I have a free P2. I find it easy to open one handed but closing is a lot more awkward with one hand, I think due to the ‘breaking tension’ required when folding back up. Do you think the ARC is any different?
So with the spring loaded pliers are you able to flick the tool open with one hand, or would it take two hands, or more force with one hand? I'm going to take a guess and say spring loaded pliers would really mess with the design.
I don’t like how the bits move in the bit adapter. Any chance you could do a review on the bit adapter in use. [maybe screwing screw into timber and with a bit extender]
I still don't get the "impact surface difference" compared to the free P4, as far as I understand that specific part is quite LITERALLY the same exact piece, made of the same exact steel and same exact thickness, so I guess both could be considered an "impact surface"? Do you notice any difference?
I absolute love how fast you are putting out information about the Arc.
I do have to say that in terms of looks, I do like the P4 much better.
Haha thanks. Figured not many videos. I’m bringing them lit

*Leatherman free p4 vs arc. I was wrong on the price of p4. Should he $149.95 on Leatherman website. Enjoy the comparison
Nice comparison! There’s a few things that I wish Leatherman did differently….. over all, the ARC rocks! I’m looking forward to getting one!
Thanks man! Thanks for watching

I like the hollow grind on the P4. Slices amazingly. Remember most people don't use their knife/multitool anyway.
Surprised with how similar they look to each other. Wouldve been nice to get a blade exchanger like on the surge.
I would have love that.
I use the P4 almost daily for 2 years now and it's king, thought of the Arc but the price difference is too much.
The free p4 is solid

Arc appears to be an awesome piece. Now we just need a version that swaps the scissors for a serrated blade
Yes!
You got it! Thank you REI, lol
Haha. REI is my new favorite 🤩

No it’s the same. You have to break it to close it. And no problem

Idk never had spring loaded pliers except for the wingman. I didn’t like it

Yeah the “play” is weird. Figured I’d mention it.
2 questions
1. When will they start selling the arc on the Leatherman website?
2. Do you reckon they will be personalizable?
Those are great question I believe leatherman will sell before 10/17. I bet you can personalize it like the other Leatherman’s.

I didn’t notice a single difference either between the arc and p4
