@Suggon Deez When someone feels the need to project their identity like that it is a sign of a flawed personality I think. The entire concept of "being proud" to identify with a country or religion.... feels cheap I guess. I'm lucky I was born in this country but it's origins are disgusting and its values I don't always agree with. So I can be grateful to be here but cannot be "proud" to be here.

I don't vote party. I vote the candidates. We didn't know him. Now we do. That pretty much sums up the reason he lost in 2020 and will lose even worse in 24 if that even happens. Contrary to your likely belief, the republican party does not have a monopoly on what America was meant to be.

Flag worship is not compulsory. I sit for the anthem or pledge. That's not only my right, it's my duty as an American, to opt in or out as I please.
