    Aftermarket brake pads usually eat your rotors, at least on motorcycles. Also if you get track ones, they won't get hot enough on the street and glaze over, then you have no brakes.

    I am loving my new R! I only drive it on dry and clear days. I wipe the car down after every drive. This is mainly a comment and NOT a complaint. The brake pads are very soft so they make a ton of brake dust. It takes me an hour just to wipe down all my wheels but I’m anal and wipe the entire inside of the wheels too. Lol

    • @joshcorpolongo4781
      @joshcorpolongo4781 5 лет назад

      You guys should look into ceramic coating your wheels and calipers as I have done. Break dust completely wipes off with a water-less wash and always looks wax'd, new. Maybe 20-30 to clean them spotless if that.

    • @quiksilver0715

      If you want a good wheel cleaner that doesn't take any/very little agitation with a brush, check out smd_supplies on Instagram. Trust me. It works wonders. 20-30 minutes to clean a ceramic coated wheel is still a long time. It normally takes me that long when I'm detailing my customers cars

    Always leave the brake fluid cap off/loose - otherwise you could damage your system from pushing piston in and fluid having no space to move in tank from air trapped by cap

    • @slackergurl

    Hi mate. Should you not have bled them afterwards or is it not necessary for pad replacement? You mentioned bleeding brakes is there a video for that? Or is the brake pressure enough to just bleed the nipples without any tubes on the calipers?

      You don't have to, I've done a few videos of the bleeding process, it's not hard, I've done it about 15 times

      If you're changing the rear brakes make sure you do the extra step, just in case, to release the parking brake
