Please never close this channel as a young man who didn’t grow up in that era of hip hop this channel and all the videos you’ve done are so informative for us
Thanks for all the hard work and research you do ❤️🙏

Yes keep dropping science on the young hip hoppers who weren't there to experience the most classic time in hip hop. I lived in the Bronx and Harlem during those days in the 80s and I'll never forget! 🎤

@@Dilexwunrecords Lucky you! It must feel so good knowing you literally grew up with Hip-Hop from the beginning, witnessing the art form evolve, take shape, and seeing so many MCs over the years change the culture for the better.
I've been exploring and studying old Hip Hop music for nearly five years now. Best decision I’ve ever made :)
I really love the culture, and it's always a pleasure to talk with people who have witnessed the history of one of the greatest forms of music and poetry.
BTW my favorite MCs are Rakim and MC Lyte.

G Did what nobody ever did to rhyme sentence over sentences instead of word for word was amazing to have two or three words match in one sentence and the next s whole new sentence and the words within that sentence rhymed within the last sentence Wow 💯💯💯💯

JayQuan you get the five Mic salute for talking about this record
🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤🫡. I have to say Men at work is one of those records that made me the type of MC / poet that I became. Men at work by Kool G Rap is the type of record that gave me the ability to write a rhyme and use it to compete also in a spoken word contest. And not only compete but also win. 🎤🎤🎤🔥

A1, part of the pull of your videos that we don't bring up, are the photos and the old school images you incorporate. The AI wave is that but those visuals look off. Just speaking of the thumbnail, I get the ease and pull of the algorithm, but they give it a look that doesn't speak to the depth of your content. Love this channel bruh. Great lyrical breakdown, always look forward to your vids.

Yo JayQuan, LOVE your reviews Bro. I can agree that "Men At Work" was definitely one of G Rap's sharpest weapons, but I must say the ONE that is #1 hands down (next to Follow The Leader by Rakim), is 'Kool Is Back" from the Wanted Dead or Alive album. G Rap WENT 10 to CRAZY... I hope you can break THIS down and speak on it... "Kool Is Back" 👍🏾

Seeing how we talking about Men at work Kool G Rap gets the five Mic salute for his performance on this record.. 🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤🫡
Kool G Rap Men at work
    Deadly rhymes,/ here's the solution
    Smoking so bad,/ I'mma cause a pollution
    With satisfaction/ bad assassin/ fatal attraction/
Chop you to/ an improper fraction
    Ill insanity/ kill like Amity/
    Ville horror/ as I wipe out humanity/
    Won't leave a path,/a track, a trail to trace/
But when you're staring inside/ of a mirror/ you see my face
    And I'll terrify/ so don't ever try
To shake or bake or flake / cause I never fry
Letters together/ sly as a fox clever than ever/
Silly ducks write /rhymes with feathers
Really no needles are /needed to inject this
    Dope cause I'm a death wish/ - not even Bob Hope's
Rhymes are rugged/ soul flooded, cold blooded/
    You ain't better,/ you're butter, so just shut it/
Here to perform, /having a brainstorm, make a rain form
Hot rap groups /run to keep the name warm
Putting heads to beddy-/bye like Freddy so get ready/Cause I'mma get crazier/
    / than Crazy Eddie/
I'm alone but my tone/ is a sharp tune
Developing pictures /in your brain like a darkroom
Rappers are captured /and tortured with rapture/
    In 3-D is a G coming at you/
Words in my rap/ will surprise you like Cracker Jacks/
You dig them like Sugar Smacks/ and bite them like Apple Jacks/
    Brother, sister, /misses or mister
My style is complicated/ patterns like a twister/
FOES, my shadow grows / when I walk slow/
Nerds are scared to be heard/ so they talk low/
But I've been urging /to drill in your brain like a surgeon/
Rhymes so dope and they're busting/ you up like a virgin/
    More competitors /change to challenger/
You need to talk into a /mic with a silencer
