Bob is incredible. He is so nice and fun to be around. He takes all the nerves away instantly when you meet him. His ability to fit wedges is go good I was lucky enough to go through the process at Oceanside a few years ago.
Bob is such an incredible human being. Just a genuine good dude that loves what he does, loves working with people and loves the game. I love every single second of content involving him.
Bob is a class act. Met him in 1998 as a 4 spotter at tpc avenal. Actually remembered me or year later when I 4 spotted again. One of the nicest guys I met on tour
Shout out to Weirsy!! That follow through looks like Matt has been working hard on his planemate? Must have been an epic moment to hit balls with those two handing you clubs..
re-watched it! Great video! Explains what Bob tried to accomplish wit this new design really well. I really like the thinner top line this time around!
Did you hear that Mr. Fraser best thing for a fitting is to have fun, so I assume my TXG T-Shirt idea will be a TXG perk soon. :-) The biggest problem with this video was it was far too short of conversation let's hope there is some Camera 3 on this. The chattering sound coming from Matty wasn't due to the cold, he performed well. Thumbs up really enjoyable content, appreciated.
Yeah more stable , ball flight in higher loft is lower with more spin. Much consistent in terms of distance and trajectory, feel is great and the look is so pure. In love
@@matthieuperrier2707 NOICE!! what bounce do you use in your vokeys? I've been wanting to get fitted to see which bounce levels I perform best with because I have no clue.
One person likes SM7 instead of SM8 Also, I'd love to have a wedge fitting, just one on one with Voke. Then, I'd want to grab a bit to eat, go play, and then sit in the clubhouse, having a drink, talking wedges, and the game. A day with Voke. Titleist should offer this. I would be first on the list for recommending this.
We want the weight lower. No wait, we want the weight high. No no no we corrected our mistakes, now the weight is forward where it should be. Poll: where will the 'optimal' weight placement be next year? That being said I have a couple Vokey wedges in the bag. SM4...I think. Obviously I don't get taken in by... Latest and greatest. If it works I stick with it.
You: Clean the face after every shot, make sure the test is accurate. Me: I need course conditions, start with like 3 weeks worth of caked on dirt, and after every bad shot wash it off with some beer from the bottom of the can.
Matt - god I feel sorry for you in this video. Ian puts you in this position of trying to hit crispy perfect wedges in front of Bob Vokey while being filmed. Bob is flying in the best wedge players in the world to privately test his stuff and Ian does this to Matt. Ian you better have been buying the drinks after this.
Two of the most trusted voices in golf...Ian Fraser and Bob Vokey 🙌
bobs excitement is infectious. what an amazing opportunity to be fit by the man himself!
Bob is incredible. He is so nice and fun to be around. He takes all the nerves away instantly when you meet him. His ability to fit wedges is go good I was lucky enough to go through the process at Oceanside a few years ago.
KC Leonard He’s been that way since the beginning
Matt, I was nervous for you. Hitting Vokey wedges in front of Bob Vokey.
Ugh! Exactly!
Nice job Matt.
hahaha, I thought about that too, but Matt is turning into Iron Byron! :-D Great vid.
The passion for his craft is just pouring out of him. Bob Vokey is amazing.

Matty has Bob Vokey handing him clubs that has his name on them, and Aaron Dill cleaning his clubs that he made, before every shot. What an honor!
So true!
Fabulous content and a real treat to hear from Bob Vokey and have him share his insights. TXG laps the field at the PGA show.
Hitting Vokey while be stared at by 3 guys, especially Bob Vokey himself... I can already imagine how it will turn out. Great job Matty.
Great video! So many great questions for Vokey and much much learned. Was cool to see Matt get a fitting from Vokey himself
This is a great show ,great to see Bob Vokey ,he is an icon .
Need to replace 54 and 58 this Spring. These will definitely be on my short list to try. 👍
Bob Vokey with ya and there are actual dislikes? WOW! Thought it was a great session and very informative, about the SM8's. Keep up the great work.
One thing I can’t wait to try out this year is an on course wedge fitting with Titlest
I was nervous for you Matty but you did great! 🇨🇦
That D grind! Wait until you get it in some greenside rough or bunker. It's magic!
Joe Lucarelli have the SM 7 version in a 58 D grind and it’s my favorite wedge ever
These wedges are going straight in the bag of the pro’s on tour so they must be special.
I have the sm6, 7, and 8 in my bag hahah 56, 54 and a 60 respectively
Love it when Matt does fits but when is Ian going to get in there and test and get fit?
Love the video. Love Vokey wedges. Currently game the SM7.
Props to you Matt. 👍 Mibeez Bob will call you next for his own testing validations if Weirsy can't make it...😊
Great video. Woukd be interedted to hear him talk about moisture (Ping Glide) as that has been a hot topic when we talk wedges.
we'll do some testing at home for sure
The Voke is Dope nuf said👏
Cheers from NorCal
Class demo lads. Few small tips in there from Bob too. “Less is more”
A real treat on the channel. Looks a really nice wedge, must get the thorough txg testing treatment. Thanks for your efforts.
Yeah no pressure there Matty!
Great video again guys. Love the content. You guys are rocking it! Next level. Too bad I live in Europe to get a fitting ;)
I have the SM7's and added some lead weight to the toe and the wedges perform much better.
Didn’t learn much about the club bounces and grinds at all. Maybe do a video on why choose the right club for amateurs swing and conditions.
Have they addressed anything with the wet wedge testing?
Whoa you were at OCN in Orlando?! That’s one of my home courses I play :)
Wedge fitting next on my list!
Shout out to Weirsy!! That follow through looks like Matt has been working hard on his planemate? Must have been an epic moment to hit balls with those two handing you clubs..
I think they look much better and sounds like the perform as well if not better than the 7
Have to watch this again now! Was too busy with the chat during the premiere and missed half the content. !
😛
re-watched it! Great video! Explains what Bob tried to accomplish wit this new design really well.
I really like the thinner top line this time around!
Did you try the K grind?
Matt's freezing like hell 😂
Can't wait for my set next month 💪
What jacket is Dill wearing?! Love it
Can't decide between SM8 vs MD5 for my 54* they both look good but I only need 1 wedge right now. Any bias towards one over the other?
Both are great wedges. Try both, see how they perform for you
Waiting for a wedge to be as good as the Cleveland 900 form forged.
Great video!!

I was thinking the same thing, it's got to be nerve-racking to hit a Vokey in front of the legend himself!
Vokey....the best!!
does anyone have sm7s then got the sm8s? if so, did you noticed a big difference?
Yeah more stable , ball flight in higher loft is lower with more spin. Much consistent in terms of distance and trajectory, feel is great and the look is so pure. In love

Boy these guys really tap dancing! I think they’re beauties. So I’m gonna try em.
Why would I get a cast wedge from Vokey when I can get a forged one from Mizuno, Cleveland or Titleist.jp?
What are those white shoes called
Beauties!! G-Fore Gallivanters
Hoping they’ll change the stock shaft from s200 to s400 your issue. Doubt it very much though. Custom order coming up

Matt, well done mate, I would have shanked one straight into the GC quad LOL. Bob seems like a good guy and full of knowledge.
Mattie seems a bit nervous with Bob right there. 😀
😆 oh yes
Glad I didn't upgrade from the SM5's yet 🤣🙌
MATT'S THE WALKING ROBOT! NO PROBLEM FOR HIM

optimal weight placement? outside the bag ;-)
Hitting wedge shots in front of Bob might be one of the few things in golf that could make me nervous...
I've always wondered why someone doesn't ask - "why didn't you make these changes last year?"
No nerves, just 3 guys staring you down while yo hit a few, lol. I think I wouldn't even come close to hitting the ball.
The Godfather

NBD, just hitting wedges in front the king...

😆 was a great experience, but not an easy one for sure!
Paul O'Neil 🤷🏻♂️ yeh don’t think Matt was looking at this like a punishment Paul, not many people are going to be that fortunate.
Whats changed? An extra $20.... :-)
Weir-sy.........that’s Tiger speak.
and next year they will discover the changes that alluded them this time....sigh
