  • I’ve made the hard choice to retire my favorite hero Drax. He’s served me faithfully from day 1 but I need to be playing the other heroes a lot more than I do. But there’s still one battle left against the Sinister Six in Expert Mode. Can Drax get Vengeance one last time??
    The deck I used can be found here: marvelcdb.com/...

    Hahahaha the knives though!! Fantastic! I wouldn’t mind seeing Drax more. I haven’t added him to my collection yet but been thinking about doing so. You’re Change Your Game series was really helpful in deciding the order I wanted to acquire the content for this game.

      Hahaha I really wanted to give him a proper send off! He really is great great fun. I hope you get to trying him someday! He never seems to rank too highly in a lot of people’s lists but I know a few other people that really love him too
      Oh I’m so glad to hear that! ☺️

    This was great to watch! Sorry to hear that Drax has retired but now he can relax and keep playing his Saxophone. 😄

    The first time i played sinister six, i was able to flip the side scheme and saw victory was close. But that damned Advance showed up and ended the game. Most games when i lose, i get bummed. But not with SS. It may seem too much, having to deal with all six. But this is probably one of the most fair scenarios in the game. Cannot wait to give the SS another try. Might even olay through the campaign! Lol, i love this game

      Couldn’t agree more! This one has so many moving parts and yet it tends to deliver a fairly consistent experience. This is definitely one of the coolest scenarios in the game 😎

    Perfect time to convert to a Colossus main and never play anyone else again 😝

    Terrific game! Drax is really interesting. He has a low hand count but has ways to overcome that built in that he can lean into - reminds me of SP//dr!

      That’s a good comparison! Potentially slow to start but as long as you get the right cards in the first couple turns you’re golden. He can actually draw a ridiculous number of cards once he gets going, and it’s just ever so much fun lol

    So FYI the villain. Is defeated the responses happen after. So you can remove the threat

    • @GetUpandGame
      @GetUpandGame  2 года назад +2

      Ok thank you! So When Defeated is considered a Response? That was my concern. “When” is usually an Interrupt effect which normally happens right before the triggering condition, so my thinking was that the When Defeated effect happens juuuuuust before the villain actually leaves play taking the attachment with them, and would then be blocked by the attachment. But hey that works for me! And you know how it is lol, gotta make it harder on yourself in the video just in case

    At 10:25 you remove a side scheme but are you even able to remove threat because of the life sized decoy?

    Big mistake: the active villain counter always moves to the next villain, in activation order, after the active villain attacks you (no matter if his attack deals damage to you or not). The exceptions to this rule are: there are not more villains in play or the active villain didn't attack you (because being stunned, or something alike).

    • @GetUpandGame
      @GetUpandGame  2 года назад

      I just reread the villain cards and you’re right. Moving the counter is a separate sentence from whether or not it damages you. Well dang it, I’ve never played this scenario correctly then lol.
      Thankfully it didn’t make that big of a difference who’s attacking since they very rarely damaged Drax in this playthrough, but it’s still very important to point out the rule correctly. I’ll pin this comment so that others will hopefully see it and not be led astray.
      Thank you so much!!

    • @GetUpandGame
      @GetUpandGame  2 года назад +1

      Well now I’m seeing discussion in other places about this and people are saying that since it’s a response then the whole
      thing fails to trigger of the villain doesn’t damage you. So now I don’t know either way lol

    • @joshuawestlund

      It’s awesome to see someone pay enough attention during a nearly hour long video to notice a rules issue. Play through videos are very hard to do, and everyone - unless they edit them out - makes some sort of mistake. Seeing my favorite LOTR bros make mistakes helped me learn to focus on having fun and understand that the rules in these games are complex, confusing and sometimes vague.

    • @GetUpandGame
      @GetUpandGame  2 года назад

      @@joshuawestlund totally agree. As much as I wish I could get one of these out without missing stuff, no matter how careful I try to be things slip through unnoticed. So I’m very thankful when people point them out for the benefit of all the other viewers, and also myself!

      @@GetUpandGame Mistakes happen often when playing this game. Not too much time ago I realized that I was playing Scarlet Witch wrong (adding the Amplify Icon to her benefit).
      Marvel Champions's rules certainly could be clearer, but it's still such a good/fun game!
