    Really really great video production and audio samples. The quick overview of the Basic Ucho in the middle was also well done. I just ordered two of them a few days ago and am looking forward to taking them out in the swamp for some recording sessions. I am subscribed and am looking forward to more of your videos.

      Thank you for your feedback. Ah you was lucky to get them. Did they sold out as fast as the usi? 😊

      I ordered mine as soon as they went live for order. They were still available a few hours later when I checked but they sold out by the end of the day. I have the mini Usis also.

      I have since discovered the microphones from Immersive Soundscapes and actually prefer them to my LOM mics even though the Basic Ucho and Usi's are fantastic mics. I have two sets of the Immersive Soundscape microphones that are equvialent to the LOM Usi's and another set that is similar to the Basic Ucho's. The Immersive Soundscapes are much easier to get/order than the LOM and I really like the sound of them. You should try them out and make some more videos about them !

    Thanks Mike. Great video, I enjoyed it a lot. I must admit that my heart jumped when your mics fell in the water. Wow, I would have been very pissed off if that happened. I suppose that tripod is not ideal for out in nature. It looks like a Sirui tripod with the very shot legs and not stable enough for out in the forest. How do you like the Ucho ? I have some Usi Pro's and I'm not sure if I should get the Ucho. Thanks anyway. Nice work.

      @europeanambience  Год назад +2

      Mic fortunately not fell into the water, just on the ground and was well protected of the windshields 🙈
      It's a sirui monopod yes. I haven't tighten the tilt ball head so it skipped over.
      I like them because I can plug them straight into my zoom f3. If you have the usi Pro I think you don't need the ucho (ucho are more sensitiv than the em272) . Usi Pro got same capsules as my Clippy em272, I will do some comparing videos soon on this channel.

    Production quality is amazing, the algorithm will find you soon I'm sure. The uchos sound great but it seems hard to capture isolated sounds in the field with that 360 pattern.

      Thank you. I hope so.
      For isolated sound a cardioroid or super cardioroid is better. I use my rode m5 and synco d2 for that.

    I just wanted to say a big thank you for your fantastic video, I just subscribed and liked the video! I'm actually in the midst of planning a project where recording high altitude mountain hikes in Bolivia, specifically above 4000 meters and I think the Ucho's could work really well. I would be recording sounds as I walk several routes, and I have been on the hunt for ORTF mounts with wind protection, but man, they're so expensive and way out of my budget. That's why I'm totally blown away by your setup. It looks incredibly interesting and cost-effective.
    I was wondering if you could share your experience with the BBG's, do you think they can handle strong winds when paired with a windjammer? Also, do the LOM mounts seen on the video do a good job at isolating vibrations while walking? And if it's not too much trouble, could you share what XLR cables you're using between the Uchos and your F3? Thanks a bunch, and keep up the fantastic work!

    • @europeanambience
      @europeanambience  Год назад +1

      The BBG with the WIndjammers work very good in wind but they are very expensive. I will do a comparison video soon to regular Rode Deadcat if they worth the 10x cost.
      I used Thomann 0,5m ProSnake XLR Cables.
      The Stereo Bar i designed and 3D Printed it (I sell them if you are interested)

      Okay don´t know if it´s coming from the Spec Sheet of the microphone Capsule or they used some kind of Parabol for recording the ultrasonic frequencys. However what i have measured in real life scenario i got this results. It was recorded with baby ball and windjammer. I´m sure these Windshields absorb some of the higher frequencys@@Squeeky_Wheel

    Thanks for the great video! I wonder if vibration decoupling from the body is good in Zoom F3? If you put the recorder in a bag or attach it to your belt, will there be any interference in the recording with any touch of the case? Sorry for the automatic translation.

      Why decoupling recorder? Would it be better to decouple the microphones? However I haven't got any vibration noises during this recording.

    Would this be good inside a backpack to capture sounds of motorcycle exhaust?

    • @europeanambience
      @europeanambience  Год назад

      No not at all. First the Mic have to be steady and nothing should rub against it. even cable movements are hearable in the recording. So i wouldn´t recommend butting any Mic inside a backpack.
      And the Basic Ucho is very sensitiv, for loud exhaust sounds i recommend a Mic with high SPL input. I use the Rode M5 for that which can handle Sounds up to 140 db. I mount my Mic with a suction cup when recording Car Audio, but on motorcycle i don´t know if you have enough surface for that. Maybe a clamp with magic arm will work, but I don´t know how the vibrations will effect the recording with stiff mounting. 🤔
