I can understand his sentiments about not being able to go back to the UK, he's been in Hong Kong for so long and understands the Culture so much and has basically become a part of it... Even his accent is like a combination of a Cantonese accent and a British accent, so it'd be difficult for him to go back home and try to fit in... I really hope he gets his film projects off the ground, he deserves it
Mark is a living legend, not just in HK cinema but in hung gar.... Been lucky to train many times with him, he's a long time friend of my hung gar si-fu, and call him si-baak... A great guy
I knew mark pretty well from the days of his first movie with lau gar leung and we got on pretty well and had a fair few nights out he was a fun crazy guy at times but i never had any issues with him and got on welll because i had no ego no thoughts of being a good martial artist or a good movie fighter i was in movies because i loved h.k cinema and meeting the actors i saw on screen was all i did it for
