Fantastic sesh with a PB well done. When using ya boat take bale arm off the reel as keeping it on causes line twist. To stop line falling off when bail arm is open put a piece of sponge in butt ring. it works spot on.

Thank you for nice comments , 😊 yes catfishing is getting bigger now in the uk , fisherys need a special licence to stock catfish , because it is evasive species, but I'm seeing more and more catfish popping up in are waters , I'm not fishing normal carp gear , them rods are nash 4.5lb test curve rods , very strong ! The reels are shimano xsb power areo ! Very strong reels ! And I have 50lb mono attached to catfish pro 120lb braid leader , catfish Pro swivel and hooks ✌️ I could pull in a 300lb cat with that setup
Good session. Bit look at the state of the cats mouths, when any fishes mouth starts to disintegrate like that they should be changed to ornamental pond fish. , it's shockin to see.

I'm yet to get my rods in this pound to bag my self a catfish.. I've had a few cats my biggest being 48pound 6 and that was at homefarm on a 48 hour session. Really want to try avoca though.. and belive me even at 48pound that was a gell off a fight. I took mine and my mates rods out and even the next peg guys line out aswell so having one at 70 I couldn't imagine how that fight was haha.
😂😂 Nice one, nice cat that too, 👍 well in mate, yeh give avoca ago , you got every chance of catching one , yeh with those big cats , it will peel line off your spool , the runs are explosive , all I can say is , dont let it have its own way, keep the clutch tight, and if it wants to go , just give it couple of clicks down on the clutch , but always keep tension on it , and try and turn its head, some times they just sit there and don't move , and uses its weight , not much you can do till it runs again, then gain some line back, 😂 gotta love catfish , for there shear size and power, tight lines mate
Hi mate , every 12 hours , but you can leave it for 24 hours if your short of bait , the longer them rigs are in there , the more chance you have of getting a bite , nice cat weather this week , with the storms , you should get a bite . Good luck

Haha my arm was aching off the fights with those big cats , yeh from asda fridge section , the big long sausages are polish sausage, Spanish chorizo full sausages , I also added black pudding sausage in the mix , the chorizo was used as hook bait , because of the hard outer layer. And spicy flavours! 👊 Good luck mate , hope you bag one

Epic result that buddy ! One of the bigger ones out of office lake that ! 66lb , won't take long , for all these 60lb to 80lb wels, to grow over 100lb, its exciting times for uk catfishing scene , alot more poeple getting involved.

We catch them all through the winter on zigs when we're after the carp. 70lb+ cats on 10lb zig line and size 8 hooks not for the faint hearted but we manage
Yeh mate that's what happens when it's cat & carp lake, fishing for carp , you will pick up the cats too , it's a long process bringing in big cats on 10lb line. And it will take you , were it wants to take you , as you probably know , to the snags, through other anglers lines or around the island , and snap! But sometimes you can get lucky and bring them in. I heard a story , that a angler caught a cat over 100lb cat on 8lb line , fishing for tench. Crazy!! Tight lines buddy hope you bag a few more🎣🎣😎
I only fish on there day sessions in the depths of winter as its local mate, usually on the opposite bank to you, luckily its been empty most years so plenty of deeper water for them run in, but we will see this winter had some nice carp up to 26lb too keeps you active in winter. 3 nice fish but just a thought to remove the plastic wrapping from prebait. Can’t b good for the fish. Hookbait should b ok 👍
