I've been following your channel for a bit. I really enjoy the work you've put in and seeing the growth in your skills.

loved the video, especially the lack of gloves and exact measurements, yet you produce some stunning work. Now its time for me to create a seat. P.S. Didn't know it was snowing in your locality! :)

Absolutely. Like the Ducati’s body, all done by eye 🤣

i guess for this cutting part you could use a hot wire because it's less messy and it can be more precise.

If I had one would be great

@For The Bold a fence wire and a bike or car battery. i used this to make my own seat after seeing some of your fiberglassing videos for the ghost.

Or just a cheap electric turkey carver, can find them used for almost nothing at thrift stores etc.

What glue you recommend to use to make it stick proper? Doing my first seat in the coming weeks.

An upholster friend of mine use to use an old electric knife for trimming foam.

A good tool too. Regret my parents not keeping theirs from the 80s. I’ve resorted to an angle grinder.

Does the upholsterer have an issue stapling to metal compared to fiber glass? Also did you weld the bolts so the seat can be removed without them moving inside.

    • @forthebold

They just glue on the fabric. You can weld the bolts but for this one they won’t turn.

Personally, I would have used 1.5.2 millimeters aluminum sheet.
