Desserts from All Nations - Sierra Leone Ginger Cake

Our weekly desserts series got a new addition today with Sierra Leone Ginger Cake.
Delicious simple cake that goes perfectly in an weekend afternoon.
The recipe yields 1 loaf size cake.
Ingredients:
1 1/4 Cup Flour
1 Tbsp ginger root grated
115g Butter
2 large eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
pinch salt
1 Tbsp powdered sugar ( optional )
