@RisenAndLostFan is the flash sideways are complicated for you then you are not an expert , everything was perfectly explained at the end and the rest trough some logical thinking
That's not true. Locke's ability to move triggered his, Jack's father was his trigger, Aaron's birth was Kate's, etc. lol but I do understand what you mean
It wouldn't have made sense for it to be with Penny, she wasn't on the island. The whole idea behind them remembering has to do with their most important moments on the island, hence the couples, Locke wiggling his toes, Kate helping Clair give birth etc. Pretty much all of Desmond's life on the island was characterized by his pushing of the button so him remembering by pushing the button makes sense. Not to mention that in real life, Desmond left the island and went home to be with Penny.
Desmond is the failsafe. The most important part on the island for him was turning the key and coming into contact with the electromagnetism of the island. Desmond in the MRI, electromagnetic waves triggered his memories. Of course he would remember Penny, the most important person in his life.
I never like this bit, because all the 'remember' scenes are the couples: Sawyer and Juliet, Shannon and Sayid ect, and Desmonds was with no one, just the button. kinda sums up his love life haha, but I wish it had been with Penny :)
So Desmond died during his trip on the boat, and everything he lived after, including his returns to the world and his child were part of the purgatory? He remembers that he had true love etc and that's supposed to make him let it go and go to the church? I'm sorry I didn't get this whole dying thing, like how did the Others who were with Juliet die? The Losties apparently didn't die on the plane so the 6 actually returned to the world and all these sci-fi stuff happened and weren't metaphysical.
Deldim Aboubou no Desmond is still alive at the end of the show. we don't know when he died, he could live to be an old man. the flash sideways purgatory is for all of them to find each other after death (they still all died at different times) so that they could reunite and move on together
Oh okay thank you =) Bu what was the meaning of the side-flashes? His was about realizing love is what matters etc so doe it mean he has fogotten that at the end of his life or do the flashes corrispond to the island period since they were created right after the bomb.
side flashes are the island energy. This is what you want to know since the beginning: why the island is special? The island kept the "afterlife". If the island is destroy, the afterlife energy disappear so when you will die: there will be nothing after. In this scene , Desmond wake up and understand where he is on the IRM Machine. But why..? Listen the sound...it's like the monster and this machine use electromagnetism. Like the monster. The Monster is a mix of Jacob Brother and Afterlife energy. This is why he can judge people by seeing flashes (in front of Eko or Ben for example), or revive the dead bodies... Remember every strange part on the island. People who are dead that can appear. Whispers who are people stuck (you can assume that Ben will be a whisper on the island for quite a time since he don't go on the church at the end). People always make the mistake : the island is real. All of this is real. It's only the FS that are afterlife. Lost is a battle between good and evil for the sake of the afterlife. Because the island is the "door" of the afterlife. Just the door. But most of all the purpose of the show is "guy, if you screw up some things in life...just let go and move forward". Every character screw their life, and Jack the most. The tale of the show is: "you crash on an island, you go behind you, to the beach, to the civilisation. Screw this. Look at the jungle : explore your true self. Understand what was wrong with you (flashbacks) and don't change it. Live with it, let go". This is what the show is about. That's why jack had a son in FS, he wants to be a good dad because he fear about what his father was and don't want to be the same. He wanted to be love by his father so he became one...but this is a mind prison, he just ignore the reality: in his life whatever happen, happened..you can"t change the past or your life. Just...move on.
Making Flash sideways as an Afterlife world is a huge flaw in the Series. I was so pissed Off when Jack said " I died too" to his Dad at Season Finale episode. They should've made it an Alternate timeline & returning back to the Island again at the end.
Desmond is my constant! Elite television 👏👏👏👏👏
I still watch this scene today and I got HUGE shivers down my spine.
So far ,desmond and Locke remember without touched
When he said button, Desmond and I both said “Button?!” At the same time.
Late 2000’s PTSD kicked in
Best show ever , love Desmond
I love the music.
Oh my goodness I love "Distraught Desmond" what a great song.
Beautiful scenes!
his toes keep on wiggling! so cute
old times but the best in my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not to mention that all his memories were of Penny, then he went and found Penny.
@RisenAndLostFan is the flash sideways are complicated for you then you are not an expert , everything was perfectly explained at the end and the rest trough some logical thinking
ahhhh i love desmond. and i love when he gets to be a creeper in the last episodes B)
That's not true. Locke's ability to move triggered his, Jack's father was his trigger, Aaron's birth was Kate's, etc.
lol but I do understand what you mean
They didn't fall in love ON the island. Each 'remember' scene was from the island.
Well this is new for me
charlieeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!
WOW
Charrrliieeree MINE

Aaron Moses Well penny was the reason he ended up on that island. What with the sailing boat and all. She's connected and by far the best part of him.
Desmond is the failsafe. The most important part on the island for him was turning the key and coming into contact with the electromagnetism of the island. Desmond in the MRI, electromagnetic waves triggered his memories. Of course he would remember Penny, the most important person in his life.
All he ever did was for her. Every push of that button
I never like this bit, because all the 'remember' scenes are the couples:

KahlanPendragon Locke and his foot, Ben and being beaten half to death by Desmond...
@@aresef hahahaha
Desmond and the Button
what r u talkinga about? his life WAS with penny before he died :))
@RisenAndLostFan why are you confused?
This is the beginning of the end (of the delusion)
@Damon24 the season 6 was not a success in Switzerland and Germany, sad
and where is the Season 7? the rest have to ask to be clarified, the flash sideways are complicated for an expert like me
I'm confused
"death" "Traveled" "The pub" .... Jimmy Lennon. Cricket bat...
