True, now truthfully do the DNC. All party's are the problem, but I won't lie the Republicans are worse, the only real issue I have with the democrats are they're just absolutely moronic. After January 6th I expected more "liberal" Americans to see why we need the second amendment.
We need universal healthcare, we need gun safe mandates and vouchers, we need adults to take mandatory mental evaluations every year or two regardless of if they want a gun or not, we need to address the drug epidemic we created, and we need to treat the cause not the symptoms. The tool isn't to blame the people are. If democraps would get that through their THICK head I'd gladly vote blue and consistently do so. I also think we need reparations to black and native community's as well as automatic citizenship for all Mexican citizens. 1.8 Million Americans illegally deported so whitey had less competition during the great depression is just vile. As far as I'm concerned every Mexican is my brother and a fellow American.

Michelle Wolf is so much fun. I feel like we're actually having a conversation about what actually matters and also having fun where the others are performing a show. It's more relatable.
Absolutely. When she says "Are you picturing it?" it feels like something that just pops up in a conversation with her. What a character.
She can't read the prompter, loosing the beat way often. And, even so (or maybe because of it) her comedic timing is way better than the others, no shouting. She's great.

I love how George Santos's only defense is that he is not even that big of a criminal compared to the rest of his colleagues in Congress. And, truth be told, he has a point. Ethics Committee decrying Santos while not lifting a finger to more corrupt and compromised Congresspeople is super hypocritical.
to be fair the supreme court did say corruption is ok just you have to not be blatant about it. which i think shows just how much trouble we are in.

This entire segment painted a damning portrait of the political and corporate dystopia in which we are living... and somehow made it riotously funny. This is peak "Daily Show".
Ok.. on Santos, I'm NOT saying some of his congressional colleagues AREN'T as debauched as he claims, BUT... it remains a bit hard to buy anything he says with complete confidence either. Name some names, get specific, or remain a whiny loser wimp.
If the justice system worked as intended, law agencies should get Santos in a room and say "tell us more" and I totally agree, if there EVER was a time when someone should buy an election, that time is now before utter chaos ensues. As a European I watch in awe and disbelief of what is happening to once stable and trustworthy US politics.
Can't wait for the Santos tell-all book / reality tv series after he's booted. He's gonna spill a lot of tea...

Her routine at the White House correspondent’s dinner, five years ago, was the funniest in memory. I've never heard so much uncomfortable laughter and seen people looking around the room in my life. I mean the strategy is that she polls best with key demographic groups who voted against trump but is still a sellout for corporate interests…
The gop strategists are well aware that white suburban women were a key demographic in 2020 and 2022 that cost them electoral gains, but they’re currently hobbled by their fascist grass roots voters. Republicans in safely gerrymandered districts will always be more worried about a primary opposition candidate than a democrat or independent in the general election.
My brother in law worked at one of the Koch refineries. He used to get a “gift” (like a coffee mug or something) with a letter from the brothers on who they expected him to vote for.
@agiraffe3673 lots of businesses do that to some degree. I was subtlely informed by a large tech company I worked for that part of my salary was in place for my support of the company's political interests. Needless to say I voted however I saw fit.

Deflection is always how criminals respond when caught. What's amazing to me is how Santos thought he could get away with it. Most Congressional criminals are very sly in how they cover their corruption. Not Santos.

He _has_ been getting away with it. It's not like a report from the ethics commission was necessary to know that he had throughly lied about so many things to an egregious degree. All of his colleagues that were "shocked" by the report will likely still vote to keep him in anyways.
