It seems like with so many indie palettes, the individual shades are gorgeous and high-quality but the color stories sometimes seem limiting or don't make much sense to me when trying to do a coordinated eye look. I bet you'll get much more use out of the shades this way!
I'm keeping them more in case I get serious FOMO and want to put them back into their palettes. Right now sentiment is keeping me holding on. The fantasy cosmetica was PR (i don't think I'm on their profile list anymore lol) but it's was a monumental moment for me and I dont want to ever get rid of the packaging because how cool is it to look back and remember the time and brand thought I was cool e ougb to send something to
@ I squished and squished and that bad boy did NOT want to come out. Finally got it! The rest were super easy to push down and pop out. All that to say, so glad you shared this because it took me a solid 5 minutes to figure it out! 🤣
@genb_genbeauty omg yeah, the magnets in those futurism palettes must be STRONG!! Maybe mines squishier because I have deported and made my own color stories often in those palettes. I'm glad you got them out and can rearrange or use as singles 🥰🥰
OOOH WHAT A GREAT PROJCT FOR INDIE SHADES!!! Especially cause the shade names tend to be way more adventurous (and sometimes nerdy in their own way) and have those hard to find letters in their names
I enjoy watching depotting videos, but I know that I will never use a shadow if I depot it. I have some singles, but I never use them. I even got inspired to put all of my Viseart shadows into a large Z-Palette. My next project is to return them to their original packaging. I just can’t… it is visually overwhelming to me. 😂
I totally get it! Depotting is usually the kiss of death for eyeshadow to me, too. That's why I'm saving all the packaging JUUUUUST in case, but I am planning on building my own palettes a lot more often. Especially this year with hopefully a no buy on new palettes if I can stop myself 🫣🤭 Those beautiful clear acrylic palettes should help me feel more inspired when I create BYOPs, too, since ill be able to see the colors through the packing, kind of how palette artwork often imitates the shades inside

Love watching a little depotting, and destruction. Are you keeping the empty magnetic palettes to make your own colour stories?

I love watching depotting videos 😀
ME TOO! They're so therapeutic. And reorganize videos with a lot of clicks. Unfortunately, I yapped too much for my own enjoyment 😂
15:11 I struggled SO MUCH to depot one of my futurism palettes. 😂 I think Sashimi City gave me the most problems.
Omg noooo they are tricky if you don't know they're squishy and magnetic!!

You are inspiring me to depot some of my palettes. I am using all of my indie singles in my a-z project pan!

I just kove depotting videos. Hope you get a lot more use out of your singles now.
Me too! I hope this is game changing for some of the love I show these shades cause dang I have so many pretty things 😍

@ Your new acrylic palettes are nice! I need to put my singles in a panning project so I’ll use them.
I know another subscriber does a 5 use goal on the singles in their collection. I am striving to get on that level 🤯
