It's seeming like more and more you guys have been requesting affordable outfit options so I hope you enjoyed today's video. Let me know down below if you'd like to see more budget-friendly looks and don't forget to follow me on instagram.com/marcelfloruss for more style inspiration :)
Love that you’re wearing dress shoes again like your old videos! Please continue to demonstrate examples of how to incorporate dress shoes to your outfits as well from time to time in your more dapper outfits (AND perhaps adding one active wear outfit at end of the video too like you did in this one! Loved it!)
Meraj Haque agree! I hate that a lot of people have a go to sneaker or trainer they throw on. While what they may be wearing would benefit from a dress shoe or atleast dressier looking shoe. For those that absolutely only wear sneakers, this could be done with Vans or Chuck Taylors (insert fav shoe) in a darker color. The gum bottom Vans with navy, black, grey etc. come to mind. Monochrome chucks and so on.
10:32 YES! Marcel pls do one cuz I think you can be stylish at the gym! Can you also do a video on some outfit inspirations with slim cargo pants, there's none on YT and I don't know how to style them besides with a t-shirt ;(
Right now Walmart actually has some really nice denim jackets in black, blue, dark blue, and bleached blue, for only $22. I've been wearing mine for months multiple times a week, and with a hoodie underneath its kept me warm all through winter, not to mention the fit is perfect and not all boxy like some denim jackets. Highly recommended.
Question: how&where to spot good leather jackets? leather jackets I’ve tried from fast fashion brands tend to peel and crack (like wall paint) and leave you with a jacket that’s shedding its leather :/
Sounds more like the leather jackets you've used is fake leather. But I would make sure that the jacket is atleast £100 leather items are investment pieces and should be spent more money on compared to your other clothes. I could recommend Jack and Jones for a good priced leather jacket!
100% if it's peeling and cracking like that, it's not very good. Almost certainly not actual leather, but synthetic imitation leather (i.e. plastic) the best place to get leather jackets that are high quality for less is to shop vintage. Look for brands that have been around a long time like Schott or Vanson if you like more traditional styles like the biker. eBay and grailed are good spots for more of the fashion brands like Sandro or all saints or Reiss - but you'll easily get a 1960s Schott or brooks jacket made from better (read: thicker, more durable) leather. Top tip: if you do go the vintage route, invest a few bucks in some leather conditioner like lexol and apply it before you wear the jacket (obviously don't put it on if you might return it or they might not take it back!)
I bought my leather jackets from thriftstores. Real biker jackets from the 90’s. Mine were just €100 together. A real leather jacket is expensive, but a investment for life. You could easily pay up to 100-300 bucks for a good one.
Hoodies: The Hanes F170 is a perfect balance between affordable while remaining durable & thick. Jeans: Invest in levis, they always have sales. Thrifting is also a great option. Tees: Uniqlo Supima Cotton Tees are great with a soft, comforting fabric. Thrift shops also sell them at great prices. Footwear: Amazon have a wide range of brands & options ranging from Converse, Adidas, Vans etc.
In terms of affordable footwear, I find that the Johnston and Murphy outlet store near me has pretty good deals on mid-tier shoes, especially dress shoes. Looking through the clearance there I can reliably find a pair of dress shoes for about $60, and some are even goodyear welted or blake stitched.
This was a fantastic video!!! I LOVE the second look, and will be checking out some white colored jeans/pants for the future!!! Also, a big YES to a thrift/secondhand haul/video!?!?! Thank you, as always, for your superb content and for simply being delightful!!! :D
I have really enjoyed this look and style. Great work mister. Now I have to get ready to hit the club both this video in style and then Delta Parole - Wasted Music Video that I had watched before this since it just released, motivated me to be the man tonight. Small The Killers namedrop for those that know haha who is also a big fan and what are any of the other beautiful peoples hit the club songs?
Been living here in Tokyo for 6 years and I'm telling you, Uniqlo has been my best friend. An unknown brand outside of Japan called G.U. (Uniqlo's young and hip little sister) is also a very affordable choice.
Basically, you should only buy stuff that are GU, Zara or designer brands (Vuitton, Gucci, Valentino, etc), after consulting with your wallet. Don’t waste your money on midlevel brand(Hugo Boss, Jil Sander).
Please do this type of video but for fast fashion or something available worldwide, because we don't have walmart or target in Serbia, Europe. And do a how-to-thrift for sure 🙏🏼😄
Love where you’re taking this! Quality is also key in certain pieces. Budgeting, then deciding on what to spend wisely on or allow yourself to splurge on helps. #ODSsquad
Lower cost sneakers/shoes than those in the video: 1. Converse - it's a piece of cloth on vulcanised rubber. Get ASOS Design, Jack & Jones or similar 2. Loafers - Don't buy cheap faux leather or whatever. Look out for sales and get the real deal 3. Nike - Nike Revolution 5 is good on a budget and very comfy overall. For gym just get some cheap trainers or wash your old ones, you're in them for about an hour once a day so it's no big deal
Great video! Love your style because you tend to focus on Essentials, keep it super stylish, while remaining simple yet complex. (If that makes sense) Cant wait for your Chelsea boots in brown to come back in stock. Any word on when?
Where do you found black t-shirt from last look?😱I love this fit ❤My height is 170cm and almost each t-shirt have to long sleeves :/ Where can I buy basic t-shirt with short sleeves? I don't want sleeves with elbow lenght
I like shopping at target and the first thing I do is go look at the clothing but I do wanna out the skinny Jean's they have. I personally I the good fellow brand in target
Stores like Marshalls, TJ Maxx, and Ross sell a cheaper version of name brand clothes that were made specifically for the store. You aren't getting Hudson Jean quality at Marshalls prices. Rather you're getting a lower quality item specifically produced for the Marshalls price-point. It's the same thing with outlet stores, the reason let's say Nike Outlets are cheaper than Nike is because the quality of the item at the store is also cheaper.
That’s true and false at the same time. While a lot of companies do produce special collections (actually meant to call that out in the video) some product from the main collection can land in those stores. Usually a good indicator for that is how many of those pieces are in the store, if it’s just one it’s likely to be left over stock, while a more full size run is usually part of a collection meant for that store - ironically that doesn’t necessarily impact the quality of the product, it’s often times just a different, more simple design direction!
I'm trying to find a good shirt that fits my longer torso... a normal large has good length, just too baggy, and a medium is too small. Any recommendations?
Does anyone have recommendations for brands/shops, that are similar to massimo dutti style and quality/price-wise, available in europe? I started to love their stuff a year ago, but they dont have the biggest selection. Mango men probably, but also ... ?
FYI: I appreciate your work. Will you be moving more to the dapper side of gear this year? I’ve been a sub for a few months now but low key you’ve been more street wear.
Cmon Marcel ! Buying the same blazer twice, one for LA & the other for NY doesn't really go with the whole idea of sustainability :) ... Nice video tho. Keep up the good vibes bro.
Everything you said about denim & flower is, from what I understand, totally wrong. I don't think they actually sell anything outside of TJM/Marshalls. I've only seen their clothing there, the prices were dirt cheap, and they felt at least as bad as their sale prices reflected, if not worse. Granted, I never saw a hoodie, but it's not a brand I'd say *anything* good about.
Samuel Windsor, they are goodyear welted and have Italian leather uppers, some have rubber soles some leather soles. they start at around $85 to $100. New Republic has some great chelseas made with high quality suedes and leather linings. They also have crepe soles. Their chelsea boots will run you $99 to $120. Final brand is Shoe the Bear, their chelsea boots have some really quality suedes and leather and have rubber soles they are about $150-$180. A bit more pricey but still under the 200 dollar range.

Up for this "How to thrift' vidéo !
I actually work at Target, and what people don’t know is that we have a one year guarantee on our men’s Goodfellow and Co brand
Damn I didn’t know that either that’s crazy
What does that mean? You can return them anytime as long as it's within a year?
@@PittsensX Yes.
I’m a personal trainer and would love to see an active wear haul!
Bless us with some gym outfits. Specially colour combinations. I always end up going for the easy all black everything.
