    Nice! I want to plot the response of Load combination (E.g. Wind plus Wave) not just a single load case (Wind only). But in the Display -> Show Plot Function, I am unable to find Load Combination I have defined (E.g. 1.3 Wind + 1.2 Wave). Can you please help me with that?

    Nice explanation sir . But where can i get the ground motion data for maxico and how to make ground motion data design spectrum compatible or any online tool is there for it.

    The explanation was good I have seen more than 20-25 viedoes no one has mentioned like you. Iam doing a project on " Seismic Analysis of RC Structure Using Base isolation LBR in SAP 2000 " by non linear time history Analysis, if you are familiar with that topic can you assist me, I do have some doubts regarding the topic. THANK YOU

    I have a doubt on No. Of Output time step like some recommend to use the toal length of time that is find out from the display graph on TH function.

    • @phadke0

      The number of output steps should be atleast equal to the number of data points in the input file. This ensures that the entire earthquake is considered in the analysis. However you may choose to have a higher value of number of output steps in which case u will get free vibration response after earthquake force ends

    Hello sir I've few doubts in Time history analysis, like about scaling factor while defining it in load cases.

    Excellent explanation sir...sir I have doubt if doesn't have the time history data...then we can sine or cosine data...for example if we use those founction data ..what is the difference between them can u explain it sir

    • @phadke0
      @phadke0  4 года назад +1

      Hello Jagadeesh.. Thats a very interesting question... Basically wether you use an earthquake data or some sine or cosine wave (any function for that matter of fact)... SAP procedure will remain same. However, a real earthquake time history will have many frequencies associated with it (can be seen from response spectra) while a sine or cosine wave will have only one frequency, thus there will be a substantial variation in output response. Hope this answers your doubt.
