    AGAIN: I can’t believe I need to say this but don’t take this list personally, if I place a song you like low that doesn’t mean I’m saying it’s bad, I like every song on here just some more than others. We all have our opinions.

    • @ikerd1613
      @ikerd1613 Год назад

      Technically there’s a difference between “the best” and “favorite” but I agree that we all have different opinions so it’s hard to say which is the best song, still I liked the video and I love to see how other people value the Beatles

      @@ikerd1613 Thank you. Yes, they have so many great songs so for people to expect me to have the same list as them is the wrong way to think about it. If you really like the Beatles then any ranking should be good, that’s how I see it.

      One of the songs I immediately skip. Most of McCartney’s songs after 1966 are corny, cheesy and schmaltzy. That’s with The Beatles. His commercially driven, purposefully crafted radio hits of his solo career are predominantly unlistenable.

      and yet so many regurgitated ideas and sentimental ballads. Sorry, but this list makes it clear that Johna was the groundbreaking Maverick in the Beatles. Paul's Good looks, variation in vocals and angelic delivery made him a commmercial behemoth, but his work does not stand up to Johns in artistic merit, unorthodox creativity, Genre shaping and groundbreaking work of genius.
      *But to make the greatest impact of all time, I guess you do need both of these things in a band with sufficient longevity

      I agree with your assessments on contrasting P & J! J had it all! Minus the 42+ years P had to write more (quantity), but J had the higher quality, variety, mood, and his voice! His voice had a far wider range than P had! Listen to "Money (That's What I Want)" or "Twist and Shout" or the Chuck Berry cover, "Rock and Roll Music" or J's astonishing "I Am The Walrus" or the sadder but terrific "Ask Me Why'" Just those few give the idea on his emotional impact, range, timbre, and strength of voice, far surpassing P. P had the quantity, but J has the higher quality, range, and emotional impact singing overall! He put everything he had into a song, never let up from 1960-1980, he was the best, and their leader!

    Paul's genius was an ear for a catchy tune. The lyrics were often silly but he knew what sounded good. The feel good that fans got from Beatle tunes can mostly be attributed to Paul's music. He didn't make you think. He made you tap your feet and sing along.

      Yes, but as this shows clearly, really too much focus on sentimental ballads, when he was capable of so much more.The Beatles are suppoosed to be honoured as this revolutionnary, original, edgya ,groundbreaking,Subgenre creating Band.Let iit be, and Penny Lane should be nowhere near the top 10 and Macca Should have left sentimental ballads behind after his masterpieces on "revolver" just like John did after his 3 masterpieces on "Rubber soul"(Norwegian Wood, you got to hidde your Love away and in my life).
      Mike is top 8 should read: "I gotta Feeling, get back, oh darling, helter-skelter,Lady Madonna, hey Jude gaps and the 2 ballads on revolver."If we are going to see him as what you say is a "GENIUS" maverick and eclectic songwriter.

    You obviously didn't get all the McCartney tunes, I don't see Drive My Car, We Can Work it Out, Two of Us I Got a Feeling, All Together Now, songs that have a little Lennon part shouldn't matter, unless it's 50/50 if you do a Lennon, or if you already did, I haven't found it as of yet, you're not going to include A Day in the Life, or In My Life...? Here There and Everywhere isn't on here either.
